  1. Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the stitch n pitch. I got an extra at the game last night. Thanks for the interest.
  2. Anyone with an extra chorizo? My girlfriend wants one pretty bad and I have a trats scooter and the snowman that I'd trade. Pm me if you have an extra.
  3. Looking to buy or possibly trade. My sister needs these, and I know she has some spares available for trade. Thanks!
  4. I'm not involved in this, but would like to learn more about lots of these metrics. FIP, xFIP, and BABIP are just letters to me. I know I could research them all individually, but any good resources for noobs?
  5. Anyone else hear Ueck's exasperated response to that strike call? I love the Ueck.
  6. I concur. I question whether most people here even like watching baseball. Everyone is always so ticked off. All you need is a bullhorn and a "THE END IS NEAR" sign. Isn't it supposed to be fun?Sorry for not being sufficiently cheery about the 5 run lead we blew.
  7. Anyone else listening to Uecker making fun of Cory for jumping out of the way of a foul ball that went into the booth? Classic.
  8. Where are the old players? We've done the '82 guys mostly to death, but nobody else. How bout a Juan Nieves no-hit bobble? Next year is the 25th anniversary of Team Streak, right? Or Cirillo or Vaughn, or any of the other good players we watched between '82 and the present? They need to think outside the box a bit if these are to remain cool. For me, the Braun fist-pump and Prince with the crown are good examples. I need another sausage bobble like I need $%!%$@ in the head. Also, I only want a Gomez bobble if there is a little plaque on the front that reads: ".550 OPS in 2011." And the Nyjer bobble would have to say "Tony Plush" instead of his actual name... /bobblehead rant.
  9. For anyone that got one of the 400, did you get yours at 5am or later?
  10. I think we all figured this could happen, but the extent to which people cheated and stole their way to big numbers of them is really something else. Also, heard some reports of people getting there early and finding some, but being forced to wait til 5am. Seems things were very inconsistent around town. Great intentions, but a terrible execution by the Brewers. I think the 5am time was supposed to help, but all it really did was screw the rest of us harder, since we had to get up at 4am to see that people had cheated, or to find some lady taking garbage bags full of them for herself.
  11. I know I shouldn't be surprised, but this was a total fiasco. Everyone treated it like a Black Friday sale or something...camping out, driving around to multiple parks in the middle of the night. I heard reports from people who arrived at their park at 430am, only to see people driving away waving the last few Bernies. Ultimately, the clues were pretty meaningless. It was more about picking a county park to hang at all night. Oh well, I guess my sister doesn't get one. I thought they were pretty ugly myself. Best of luck to all the other BF.netters.
  12. Are we in a position to rule anyone out, given the state of our bench?
  13. I doubt that the one isolated incident of PH Yuni B. over Boggs is what has set many of us off. For me, it's tough to watch RRR seemingly ignore logic/statistical evidence on a consistent basis in favor of some gut-feeling voodoo. Why don't I just manage the team with my Magic 8 Ball?
  14. What part of the bat has he been respectable with? The part that OBPs .250, or the part that SLGs .319? He is not a good hitter. He can neither get on base nor hit for power...why bat him in a crucial situation in which he is likely to be even worse than he normally is?
  15. Most of his decisions seem based on gut-level inklings and casual observation. Some would argue that quotes like the one above are merely for public consumption, but I haven't seen any evidence that suggests anything to the contrary thus far.
  16. I actually feel like RRR may be a worse manager than both Yost and Macha. At least both of them had certain tangible strengths. RRR's greatest strength seems to be forcing a square peg into a round hole.
  17. That AB, like so many tonight was a pile of hot garbage.
