  1. he isn't even close tonight. he hasn't given up anymore runs but this is some ugly pitching. Thank god Hernadez is uphttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif Another double? sheesh Hits batsmen? ugly!
  2. from the way things are looking here in the first inning, I hope that Yost has a short leash on Kinney. He obviously doesn't have his control tonight. With an off day tomorrow, there is no reason to keep him in too long. 3-0 cincy
  3. I know that this is probably a problem with easyboard, but I haven't been able to use the spell check option in a couple of weeks. This is bad news for someone that is as bad of a speller as I am. Any thoughts or suggestions?
  4. Puts one right down the pipe for the leadoff hitter too. Ugly! Thank god there about to pull him before the game gets out of reach.
  5. Ben Ford gives up a three run homer on his first pitch to the #7 hitter. I knew that it was a bad idea to pull Davis. He was only at about 70 pitches and wasn't missing by that much. Granted he walked his first two guys of the game near the beginning of the inning, but he wasn't missing by much (actually he got ripped off, Hillenbrand actually struck out), and still looked fine. In that situation, I say that it is Davis's game to lose. Ford just walked R Johnson. Not good.
  6. I started a thread in the off-topic forum regarding marijuana and 4:20, so that this one can get back to baseball. Have fun debating it fellas. I just really want to see Sheets go out there and pitch well, pain free. I really don't see any of this years games as "must win."
  7. What can people tell me about Eric Henderson? I know that he was a fourth round pick in 2000, and hasn't put up phenomenal numbers since he was hurt. I can't even remember what his injury was... What kind of pitches does he throw? Velocity? etc... Thanks
  8. "Its scarry to see someone his age with these problems already..." Actually it isn't that rare. I just had to have 3 disks removed from my back (several months ago) and I was only 19. Active young adults actually have a decent number of back problems. It isn't like breaking a hip or anything. That being said, anyone that has ever had serious back problems can feel Ben's pain. The back is so vital to every movement, that medium levels of pain can seriously hamper daily activities. I have thought about this a lot since Ben first started complaining of back trouble his rookie year... If at any given moment Ben's back is sore, the chances are really good that he would have to make at least minor adjustments in his delivery. At the very least it would be a huge distraction on the mound. Maybe the can give him the Brett Favre treatment before every game, and he can turn into the ace we all want him to behttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Hey, it worked for Favre, some of his best seasons were his drug years!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  9. Davis serves up another one... 6-1 Houston I know that it is a really tough line-up, but Davis has not looked good as a whole. As I said, a few flashes of good stuff in the first two innings, the cutter was looking good, but has really faded quickly. Edit: Davis pulled: 4 1/3 innnings 4BB 6ER
  10. After a wild pitch to score the first run... Davis gives up a Grand Slam to Berkman in the third. Davis is showing flashes of really good stuff, but is fading quickly.
  11. Davis serves up another longball. This one to Renteria. He as actually pitched really well, but those two mistakes are making it look kind of ugly. 3-3
  12. I have had trouble signing into the chat room lately. For whatever reason whenever I click on it it goes to the screen that says brewerfan chat, but in the box that should have the text, there is just a small square with an x through it. Any suggestions?
  13. Matheny takes us deep in the bottom of the second. 2-1 Stl Boy it has been a couple of years, but it still hurts when it is a former brewer.
  14. How much are you charging Brian?
  15. I think that you are bringing up a sore subject.
  16. Any word on any of the DFE's from last year's draft?
  17. Is anyone else worried that they won't come back? It's not like Wisconsin is exactly a haven for scantily clad loose women who follow around baseball teams...
  18. Been having the same problem, and if people are going to be ordering me Christmas items from it...
  19. At least a couple of weeks before finals here, so I would consider it for sure.
  20. Cool. As always Brian, thanks for all of the hard work that you put into this site! I can't imagine how the site could get much better, but I'm really excited to see how things turn out. Although if the site gets any better, I may have to blame you for my poor grades and failures in school. Brewerfan is the ultimate procrastination tool!
  21. When can we expect the new Brewerfan to be done?
  22. That is indeed unpleasant news... The latest Ben Hendrickson article was very interesting to me. I guess that I have been worrying all season long about Ben developing some sort of chronic elbow problems, or falling victim to some sort of injury plague. Hearing that his injury was in large part due to slipping on the mound is some comfort to me. On the other hand though, I can't believe that our system is ignoring the minor league pitchers pitch counts to the point that they would allow him to make such a significant jump in pitches over a short period of time, causing the initial injury. Ben just really excites me... I think that he is going to be a solid #2 to back up our higher ranking #2 (Sheets).
  23. I know that there are a couple of folks that live in the AFL area (DHONKS), and I was wondering if anyone could get an interview with Bausher. I would imagine that it would be relatively easy, since as I understand it, there isn't great attendance there. I think that Bausher would be an interesting interview, maybe we can figure out what has turned it around for him. Just a thought...
  24. With the recent banning of Buddy, and other questions about censorship coming up lately, it might not be a bad idea to have some sort of a posted policy regarding behavior and consequences. It might help in keeping this site professional.
  25. I want Bausher in the Big leagues RIGHT NOW!!! He's putting up a 0.00 ERA in the AFL! Prospects like him just don't grow on trees! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
