  1. Rumors are floating that Carlos Quentin is available.
  2. He wasn't ever arrested, but he eventually did admit to having sex with a male prostitute and taking methamphetamines. This is starting move towards topics that aren't supposed to be discussed on this board so if you have any more questions feel free to message me.
  3. Rydogg already mentioned he had Pan's Labyrinth in his queue, otherwise I would have put it on the list. I did hold back in adding a few other Del Toro films though. And yeah, Jesus Camp is possibly the scariest movie I have ever seen.
  4. Carnies. http://static.flickr.com/21/34347888_fdfc02ae0d.jpg
  5. Nice to see at least some return for him. I wish him nothing but the best of luck with his new organization.
  6. Her career is entirely dependent on her looks. If she doesn't have that commodity anymore, it should be an issue.
  7. Did you happen to clear out your cookies at all, Al? That can override the auto log-in.
  8. Alright Rydogg , here's my quick and dirty list for you to look at. Several have already been named by other posters but I figured I'd leave them in for you to look over anyways. A few don't have DVD released yet, but that should change in the next few months. The list is a bit documentary heavy, but I tried to cover as many genres as possible. And yes, their are a few horror films in there, deal. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif The Wind that Shakes the Barley The Host Perfume: The Story of a Murderer Heaven Run Lola Run New York Doll The Up Series (7 Up thru 49 Up) The Lives of Others Harikiri American Movie Cache The Devil and Daniel Johnston Following In the Company of Men Paradies Lost: The Child Murders of Robin Hood Hills Paradise Lost 2 The Triplets of Belleville Black Book Night Watch March of the Penguins Murderball Grizzly Man The Corporation Jesus Camp The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill Capturing the Friedmans A Scanner Darkly Serenity The Descent Hustle and Flow Junebug American Splendor Me and You and Everyone We Know Shaun of the Dead Hot Fuzz Kung Fu Hustle All About My Mother Amelie Delicatessen The City of Lost Children Good Night, and Good Luck High and Low Yojimbo Ravenous Noi The Proposition Layer Cake My Date With Drew The Woodsman Where the Truth Lies Deliver Us From Evil Audition The Baxter
  9. For the life of me I can't figure out why "@%#" and "*%!+*" are blocked. Clearly my mind is far too wholesome. How disappointing.
  10. It seemed to me they were making more of a nurture than a nature argument in terms of Sarfate's step-father.
  11. Work. I suck.
  12. Was it the Stadium Village Subway? That place always terrified me. I'd rather swing over to Big Ten's if I was in the area. Best hot hoagies ever.
  13. Anyone feel up to starting a mIRC room? It might at least be a short term solution for all the chat addicts.
  14. For most of the past two years I have worked Sun-Fri 5am - 7:30 pm. Though a month ago I cut back to ~40 hrs a week and I haven't known what to do with all my free time and full nights sleep.
  15. Outside of cracked DVD's I've never had any problem, and replacements for those were always sent out quickly.
  16. I haven't read Perfume either, but from what I have heard the film is fairly faithful to the book, but the cave scene is greatly accelerated. In the book it lasts ~year while in the film it's closer to a month or so. But visually the film is stunning, as are all of Tykwer's films. The movie is also pretty risky and definitely isn't for everyone, and it isn't anything like his other films. That all being said I loved it, and if you go into it with an open mind I think you stand a pretty god chance of being entertained.
  17. So we are now losing Dennis and a player yet to be named for Ray King. Ugg.
  18. It's still in theatrical release. It's a real documentary, and it's absurdly good. I have been raving about it in the DVD Rental thread.
  19. You really think Gillespie would play center over Cain in that outfield?
  20. The Squid and the Whale was my favorite movie of two years ago. I'm a huge Noah Baumbach fan. If you like it make sure to check out Kicking and Screaming and The Life Aquatic as well.
  21. I'll try and come up with a list of movies that you can look thru and see if you like them. Gimme a couple days though.
  22. What kind of movies do you like?
  23. Well it's playing at The Lagoon. If you want I can pass you in to it. Leaving you no excuse not to go see it.
  24. It's still in its theatrical release. My guess is it won't be released on DVD till Christmas or so. I can't remember where you are living now, but if you are in the Milwaukee area it'll open at The Oriental on Sep 14th. The Official Site should have upcoming release dates for other areas.
