  1. You're an angry elf. http://www.girardatlarge.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Angry-Elf.jpg
  2. -Fondy Late afternoon sun is stronger/better than morning sun. If they are getting sun from 1230-6pm or later you should be able to grow most anything. This fall you should add some compost to the soil and that should help for next year.
  3. Squirrels love tomatoes. Not much you can do once they catch on to what you're growing and they discover they like it. Those suckers can get into anything. Cucumbers are essentially a weed once they get going. Keep them by themselves or they will choke out anything around it. I typically do tomatoes in containers as it's easier to keep them under control that way. Carrots and lettuce are easy to keep, but make sure to till the soil really well for the carrots or they will not grow straight. Peppers are ridiculously easy to grow and don't take up much space. I generally do bell, jalapeno and habaneros every year. Beans are are another easy to grow veggie. They also will self propagate if you leave some on the vine at the end of the season. I've been doing potatoes the past couple years growing them inside old tires. You just lay the tire flat on the ground, and put your seedlings on the ground and cover them in top soil. As they grow you just put on another tire and add more topsoil. Once they are ready to harvest you just pull off the tires and harvest. I typically put the soil in my flower beds. Herb gardens are crazy easy to keep as well.
  4. Yes, because when I think Brewers front office, I think prescient.
  5. Saw How to Train Your Dragon 2 last week. It's incredible. Stands a good chance of being the best movie I watch all year.
  6. I wish to subscribe to my newsletter.
  7. Short Term 12 is phenomenal. I can't recommend it enough.
  8. @WTLTE
  9. I do all the big three (Hulu Plus, Netflix and Prime) including getting discs from Netflix. I never want for having enough time to watch all these films and TV shows. I'd say if you had to pick one you need to evaluate what you watch. Hulu is going to give you TV shows and has Criterion, Prime is going to mainly be PayPerView though the 2-day shipping is an awesome perk for Amazon, while Netflix does the best work with older films, especially lesser known ones. All three have their strengths, its just matching up your viewing habits to them.
  10. It's also a well known side effect of being male.
  11. I'm the same. Maybe if I had any confidence that Narveson could return I would feel better at him being the 6th guy, but since that looks highly unlikely I'd rather we sign a solid guy for the rotation, hopefully on a very short term deal, and that buys our young guys a little bit more time and helps keep the major league club competitive.
  12. I think he should get Comeback Player of the year.
  13. You did say they are done. Yesterday. Stop trolling.
  14. Running actually isn't very stressful on your knees (or at least your ACL), the cutting and planting done in the infield is far more stressful. When you rehab you are doing sprints far sooner than you are able to plan and cut.
  15. The Twin Cities are the 16th largest metro area in the country.
  16. Yup, my bad. Not sure why I was thinking ACL (outside of just having the surgery myself). He's still out roughly a year, so he's basically a dead weight contract in the short term.
  17. Crawford is out for a year, and at his age coming back from ACL surgery saps his one remaining decent tool. Gonzalez has a surprisingly favorable contract, so the Dodgers are taking on bad salaries to get fixture at 1B and not having to part with any major prospects. It's a solid deal for both sides, especially with how clear Gonzalez has made it that he hates Boston.
  18. No, you split screen the output and it treats your TV like a second monitor, showing whatever you are streaming on the TV and you are free to surf on your laptop.
  19. You don't have an HDMI port on your laptop? If you do you should be able to watch all the streaming on your TV.
  20. Its called overhead. Newer media sites don't have it (the vast majority of their writers are either unpaid or paid ridiculously low sums along with a complete lack of a physical plant that you have to pay mortgage and taxes on) and old media has been laying off people for years in an effort to streamline their businesses to fit the new model.
  21. They are out of their minds to give him that.
  22. In Bram Stoker's version. Before him sunlight had no effect on vampires.
  23. This is my main reason I hate them too. I don't care if it's a stupid romance story, that part doesn't bother me. What gets me mad is that they are called vampires, yet they are able to walk around in sunlight. That's like calling someone a hobbit who's 7 feet tall. If they weren't called vampires, I wouldn't care.To be fair, in the original mythology vampires could walk around in daylight just fine, and even in Bram Stoker's novel they could walk around in sunlight.
  24. Its probably why the show runner was let go.
  25. Actually, their are various forms of engineering that could result in the phone sliding open without infringing on Apple's patent. That is the problem, Apple seems to think the basic "idea" of sliding is controlled by their patent and that simply isn't true. Of course, Apple knows this, but the lawsuit isn't designed to win the case and prove HTC acted illegally, but rather bog down the company in litigation and try and get them to think twice about doing anything similar to what Apple does in the future as well as take much needed funds from HTC's R&D department and funnel it to their legal department.
