  1. Re: Deguara In 107 mocks, his ADP was 195
  2. I don't think the 2020 draft was all that bad. Other than Love there were 4 - 5 guys that got meaningful snaps (Dillon, Deguara, Runyan, Scott, Martin). I still think they picked Dillon and Deguara a round early but we will see if the production outweighs the draft slot.
  3. He is leading the league in SLG @ 735. Guy in 2nd is 643
  4. I guess I'm not sure, at this point, what impact this situation has on the team. If he holds out until mid August then yeah. But he won an MVP last year with a 3 week training camp. A 3 week training camp that wasn't preceded by months of completely avoidable speculation that could really only serve as a distraction to the rest of the team. I don't see this as that big of a distraction to the team. At least not to the point where it's going to impact anyone's performance. If he comes back he'll be welcomed with open arms.

  6. Jordan Love had a good two minutes drill! Everyone rejoice!
  7. Still unclear on what he actually wants if he's not mad at Gute. Extension? Trade Love? Do we need to send someone to his house to give him a backrub and sing "Lullaby" by Shawn Mullins to him? When Rodgers doesn't know the answer to this question or simply can't specify his actual beef publicly without revealing it's self-generated due to his ego, how is anyone else supposed to? A lot of assumptions in that post. We literally have no real understanding of what's going on other than there's some kind of beef between the front office and Rodgers about personnel (and even that's just an educated guess). His teammates both current and former have all backed him up. Literally the only two that have ever said anything remotely bad about him are Greg Jennings and JerMichael Finley and who cares what they have to say.
  8. James Jones was on with Cowherd today and said (paraphrasing) it's not about Gute and it's not about who gets brought in the building. Its about who is let go without consultation. He thinks Rodgers will be in camp. I feel like every former teammate that's close to Rodgers has said this is fixable.
  9. I am optimistic.
  10. I think he was out but there might not be enough to overturn
  11. Not sure why the Reds are even swinging. I think he threw one changeup for a called strike.
  12. It's now happened twice in one night (albeit one of them in a minor league game)
  13. Right idea, Travis. Just not close enough to the line. Got the sacrifice at least.
  14. This is how the Sports Illustrated article begins... One ball made its way into an NL dugout last week, where players took turns touching a palm to the sticky material coating it and lifting the baseball, adhered to their hand, into the air. Another one, corralled in a different NL dugout, had clear-enough fingerprints indented in the goo that opponents could mimic the pitcher’s grip. A third one, also in the NL, was so sticky that when an opponent tried to pull the glue off, three inches of seams came off with it. I've seen Tyler Glasnow breeze through 3+ innings and then all of a sudden start spiking pitches into the dirt five feet in front of the catcher. Maybe got a little too much goo on the ball?
  15. The Brewers tried him at 1B when he was in the minors and it was so bad I can't recall if they even let him play an MiLB game there. Guy couldn't play anywhere in the field. Quintessential DH.
  16. At the end of the day, he's had just a shade over 1/2 a season of really, really bad ABs.
  17. Here is the second post in the thread: Here's a story with quotes: https://www.mlb.com/news/josh-hader-eager-for-more-appearances Here is a quote: Here is another story from Spring Training: https://mlb.nbcsports.com/2021/03/23/milwaukee-brewers-josh-hader-happy-with-more-defined-ninth-inning-role/
  18. I thought his launch angle was pretty close to the same as 2019 but now I look at it and 2021 is 19.4 and 2019 was 16.4 Maybe I read it wrong the first time. But your eyes are seeing what I'm seeing. He's got a very loopy swing this year. Right shoulder/elbow is dropping way down.
  19. I'm no scout but his swing looks way different in these clips:
  20. The guy is just flat out not the same hitter as 2019. He missing everything right in the middle and upper middle of the zone. I think his launch angle is just about the same so something else going on. I guess the zone is a little higher than it was 2 years ago but that doesn't explain the stuff right down the middle.
  21. Needs to stay down until he gets his contact rate at a respectable percentage regardless of whatever else he does
  22. The people running the study.
