  1. I'd hold off on McKinnon for now. Jeff Wilson may be splitting carries with him. https://www.rotoworld.com/football/nfl/player-news/headlines/9776166?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  2. Happy Anniversary to Brant Brown dropping a fly ball against the Brewers to essentially lose the game (RIP Rod Beck):
  3. I don't know if anyone has listened to Pat McAfee's show but Aaron Rodgers is on there every Tuesday and it's pretty fricken hilarious. If you find their show on Twitter they tweet out all the good stuff. Great segment about the band Creed today.
  4. Even his medium distance throws looked weak last night. Nothing with zip, everything floated.
  5. Drew Brees looks old as hell out there. I don't think he threw a pass over 20 yards
  6. Not sure but I'm betting they like their pitching coach......I know I do. I like the Brewers pitching coach.
  7. What do Cincy fans say about their hitting coach?
  8. I said it was naive. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/10/health/university-illinois-covid.html Heres the whole story in case you are interested. If there was some way to incentivize people to stay isolated after testing positive I'd be all for it.
  9. The Middle and High School age group is basically the same as the college aged group in terms of social interactions. There really isn't much of a difference between the three groups when you are looking at social interactions. The only difference would be workforce involvement and the College and High School aged groups basically share this with a small percentage of the Middle School aged group sharing this also. If you are modeling something and you don't take into account people in the United States defying a mandate your model is incomplete. Just looking at the history of the United States you have to take this into account. The United States has been a very rebellious country when it comes to mandates on freedoms as this can be seen in almost every single generation. The only years where there were very few rebellious times you have to go back to the 40's and part of the 50's but the rebellious age then came back starting in the 60's and hasn't stopped since. There are plenty of college kids that work in settings with adults who are at-risk particularly those that are health care type majors. And defying a mandate is one thing. Defying common sense is something totally different. The model had nothing to do with a mandate. It was naive to think that college kids would actually be responsible and stay isolated even after testing positive. They figured kids would ignore mask and social distancing guidelines and mandates. They didn't think they'd be so selfish as to knowingly infect other people.
  10. A lot of people predicted a big uptick in cases at the college level for all the reasons mentioned above. The key is for people that test positive to stay the hell away from other people particularly faculty, maybe workmates, family, etc. I think one of the models even admitted that they didn't foresee people testing positive going out in spite of that fact.
  11. Players dropping like flies this past week. No disrepect to Lane Taylor, but I hope Packers can continue their luck in regards to injuries. Edit: Nick Bosa with a torn ACL.
  12. As suspected, Saquon Barkley is out for the year with a torn ACL.
  13. I was at that Pats game in '10. No Rodgers, Woodson dropped a certain pick six, the aforementioned squib kick returned by a lineman....and Packers still got all the way down inside the 20 I believe with a chance to win at the end. Great game.
  14. It's not just when they have a lead. The Lions went down and scored TDs on their first two drives. The Vikings did on their opening drive. So either they aren't coming out with any enthusiasm or the run defense is pretty bad. Once GB takes a decent lead and the other team is forced to throw that masks any run game weakness. We won't know for sure until they get into a close game.
  15. Howard Green disagrees I have to think they can find some big toad who can play 1 or 2 downs a series just to stop the run. I hope the offense continues to cruise because if they get behind it's going to be hard to get the other team off the field if they have any kind of running game.
  16. I don't know..that That'd surprise me a bit. That Saints OL could abuse the Packers in the run game, especially if Clark's not back and they've got a really good defense. We'll definitely have a better idea of where the Packers stand after Sunday Night. With SF looking like the walking dead, these COULD be the two top teams in the NFC and it could determine HFA in the playoffs. Which is still huge. Even if there are no fans in the stadium in Jan, Drew Brees with his diminished arm strength having to come up to Green Bay... I'm not taking team strengths and weaknesses into account at all. People tend to bet on GB and at 2 - 0 with two blowouts I am guessing that will happen in spades here. We shall see.
  17. Packers open as 3.5 point dogs at New Orleans. That will probably move closer to a pick em as the week rolls along I'd imagine.
  18. That was a pretty darn good football game. Had Herbert not thrown that stupid INT (and it was really stupid) I think the Chargers may have pulled that one out.
  19. I got Hill and Watkins starting in my fantasy league in a close game. It would be nice if they could combine for more than 0.9 point before halftime. Well you got a Hill TD and now OT so hopefully you are caught up.
  20. Justin Herbert looking pretty darn good for the Chargers. Chargers D looks legit too. So far anyway.
  21. He's been awful since he was hired. Surprised he's still the head coach. They went to the SB and were up 28-6 on the Pats. Either way, he's on his way out. If it's his fault of Dimitroff, the Falcons are just treading water right now. Literally the peak of his tenure there. It's been downhill since that moment.
  22. Uh... Well, it WAS likely. It isn't anymore. It should have been. What a horrible special teams play by ATL.
