A month ago Bailey gave up 1 ER in 19 innings in three consecutive starts. He gets hot once in a while.
  2. homer
    The ole swinging bunt.
  3. homer
    Who started yesterday?

So a human being made a mistake. Will wonders never cease.

Grisham's AA numbers impress me more than AAA. Who the heck knows what's real and what's not in that goofy league.

Faria is a Packer fan. So...there's that.
  7. homer
Grandal has been stuck on 19 homers for a while...

Yeah, but still, what were they waiting for last year? It's not like he was a future building block then when they could have gotten something for him. I don't think they foresaw his injury this year. Also, they went on a buying binge for some reason last offseason and thought they had a good team or something.

    His OSwing% (% swung at pitch outside the zone) the last three years: 2017 38% 2018 36.3% 2019 38.9% He's been above 36% since 2014.

I find it odd that you wanted to trade for Thor or Greinke or but don't think our #1 prospect is very good. Who do you think we would be trading to get those stud pitchers?
  11. homer
Well the whole 'base promotions on AAA stats in San Antonio' has worked so well with Shaw and Saladino that they thought they can't wait to September for Grisham. Next up, David Freitas.
  12. homer
Surprising. Thought for sure they'd wait until September. They must really like the kid.
  13. homer
    Details forthcoming...
  14. homer
The Brewers should trade all their bad players for some really, really good ones. Surprised Stearns hasn't thought of this.

I totally get the name of the game is clicks and journalistic integrity is all but dead. But man it’s still irritating and frankly disappointing when he darn well knew what he was doing on today of all days. Integrity is all but dead.
  16. homer
38 min to go. They could still get Thor for Grisham straight up.

I like the way you think. TROTW This deal stinks out loud. And you would know something about stinky deals, Sal.
  18. homer
Pomeranz has been K'ing a ton of dudes this year too. Been getting hit pretty hard though. Has given up a lot of homers.

    or Dyson

Trading a God for a God would be fair and fill a need for both teams. Well played. Yes, underrated post.
  21. homer
Also worth noting that Matt Arnold came from Tampa so he knows the player quite well presumably.

I don't get what is so "yucky" about this move? Here's what's yucky...now stop and think about this for a minute...IF this is all they do today..a team that is right in the thick of things for a playoff spot this year needs pitching...So, let's just assume Faria is with the MLB and goes into the rotation for the Brewers...they have filled their MAJOR pitching needs with...wait for it..Jordan Lyles and Jacob Faria?? Hang the NL Central banner now! Maybe wait until 3pm before puking then?
  23. homer
I feel like its always hard to regain top prospect status once you lose it.
  24. homer
I think he asked for his release and it was granted.
  25. homer
    Are vuvuzelas still a thing?
