  2. Outplayed on both sides of the ball. BYU earned that. UW was not ready to play.
  3. The absolute best thing about Fresno is the airport code: FAT
  4. Welcome back, Jim!
  5. He's like Carlos Gomez....with a horrible eyebrow trim.
  6. Hallion is ump-show personified. His strike three call is a joke.

  8. Rodgers loves the slower-developing big play, but he has proven time and time again that he is at his best when they roll with the no-huddle quick-strike offense. It keeps the defense on its toes, makes substitutions difficult and tires them out quick. That's why you saw the Bears' pass rush rendered basically useless in the second half last Sunday, after dominating the first half. If Rodgers has one bad habit, it's using his mobility to run around in the pocket to try to create something out of nothing, rather than just throwing the ball away and living to see another day. It is both a blessing and a curse, as it has won games and caused both his collarbone injuries. And I think as he ages he will lose that mobility faster than his arm strength. Might be better off figuring out how to get rid of the ball quickly now rather than when he's 37, 38.
  9. If he can't make his knee worse by playing then he should play unless it severely affects his performance.
  10. Please use this thread to discuss other games with playoff implications: Washington @ Atlanta 6:35PM Cincinnati @ Chicago 7:05PM Arizona @ Houston 7:10PM Los Angeles @ St. Louis 7:15PM Colorado @ San Francisco 9:15PM
  11. Sounds like Strop may have blown a hammy running to first in the 10th.
  12. It gets worse! The Nationals began their managerial search looking for someone capable of taking over a talented roster and leading them to a World Series championship. They believe they have found that man, as they wrapped up their 10-day search Monday afternoon by naming Dave Martinez the seventh manager in team history. This will be the first managerial job of Martinez's career, although he comes with decades of experience in baseball. He played for 16 seasons as a Major League outfielder and has spent the past 10 seasons as the bench coach for Joe Maddon with the Rays and Cubs. https://www.mlb.com/news/nationals-hire-dave-martinez-as-manager/c-260020240
  13. So if one wants to pursue conspiracy theories about why Scherzer isn't starting... Washington Nationals baseball boss Mike Rizzo grew up on Waveland Avenue... This is the family business. The son of a longtime scout, Rizzo keeps his father, Phil, around as a senior advisor who still takes in games at Wrigley Field “Rizz and I go way back,” said Maddon, who managed the Class-A infielder in 1982 in Salem, Oregon, where the California Angels had a branch of their farm system https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/chicago-cubs/cubs-vs-nationals-joe-maddons-godfather-urban-legend-about-mike-rizzo
  14. He's well rested then...
  15. Joe Ross hasn't thrown an inning in the majors all year until today?
  16. Yeah it was too bad about the injuries. That guy was a stud in his hey day.
  17. Who to cheer for: https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2018/09/13/heres-who-cheer-against-milwaukee-brewers-chase-playoff-spot-magic-number/1288162002/

  19. Bucs up 4 - 1 now in the 7th. Dodgers have opened up an 8 - 1 lead also in the 7th.
  20. My brother got on in 1992 and was #3000. We got our tickets in 2013 when the new south end zone opened up. So for those of you who are in the 100,000's make sure to include that in your will.
  21. At the end of the day, this trade was as much about next year as this year. Brewers saw no future with Villar so they traded him for a guy who can play 2B for a year until Hiura is hopefully ready.
  22. Agreed. They aren't going to divulge any more information than is absolutely necessary. No reason to give the Vikings any extra knowledge.
  23. I'll probably drop Philly from the list after today.
