  1. That's my big problem with it. From what I've read and heard second hand, there's often not a lot of form instruction or correction at some of the Crossfit "boxes". People get "thrown into the fire" whether they're ready or not. Something can be challenging or even grueling, but still be safe. That said, I'd rather see someone pushing themselves at Crossfit than peddling on a bike for 25 minutes at a leisurely pace while reading a magazine and thinking that's a real workout (assuming that's not all they can physically do). I think finding a workout and sticking to it is very admirable and I don't mind when people post results. But with Crossfitters there's a whole 'nother dimension. it's like they're trying to recruit people into their cult, er, workout. Conversely, as mentioned above, the people that constantly post negative stuff about the workouts are equally as annoying. It's not the workouts that bug me it's the constant selling. Kinda reminds me of when my brother wanted me to switch long distance service.
  2. That ball broke like 6 feet left to right.
  3. Last year, Marco Estrada had a HR-rate of 1.82 HR/9 in 1st half (5.32 ERA) and 0.77 HR/9 (2.15 ERA) in 2nd half (per JP Breen on Twitter).
  4. I had no idea Dana Eveland was still in baseball much less on a major league roster.
  5. Bradley is dealing (6K's and 1BB through 4IP).
  6. Someone's going to go on the DL eventually and render this thread moot....or it will be "At what point does Fiers replace Estrada/Garza/Gallardo/Peralta?"
  7. Wow, those are the two I was worried about. This is great!
  8. I don't see these guys leapfrogging Coulter if he keeps hitting like he is....even if he moves to 1st base. Kid is 20 years old and leads the Midwest League in Slugging Percentage.
  9. No. Because he's wrong as often (if not more often) than he's right. See my sig.
  10. Ha! My first thought as well but figured the reference was too obscure for most. Because I'm a nerd, I did some research and while they are probably related in some capacity (both are Hawaiian with Portuguese descent) Kodi is not Glenn's son.
  11. National consensus seems to be that the Brewers killed it today but all platitudes come with the caveat that they only did well if they can sign all three guys.
  12. I miss your Packer draft recaps.
  13. He had a bad month. April he was lights out. Let's see what the rest of the month has to offer before even entertaining a change.
  14. Meh. Wait and see. I prefer position players in the first round but it seems like this guy has a high ceiling at least.
  15. He hit a homer tonight.
  16. Cross Fit. Or more specifically, people that feel it is their duty to God and Country to promote Cross Fit on every social media platform they utilize.
  17. If the Brewers get to the playoffs it absolutely was worth it. (93 pitch complete game today. That's insane in this day and age)
  18. Hitting the pitcher 8th is absolutely stupid. Also, the 8th hitter is usually someone like Overbay, so....... I don't know how much that would actually help Braun. Meh. I don't think lineup matters much other than the first time around.
  19. From what I've read/heard the new owners are 100% they can get an arena deal done. These guys didn't just fall off the turnip truck so I find reason to be optimistic.
  20. If he stays in the 2 spot in the lineup, I think 83 RBI in just over 100 games (especially with Braunie's injuries this year) is going to be a tall task. Not out of range, but would be a mean feat, for sure. Brewers are talking about hitting the pitcher 8th which might help Braun's RBI numbers if he stays at #2.
  21. Well no wonder I couldn't find him in the minor league threads. Thanks!
  22. One game to go - if the Brewers win they go 14 - 14 for the month.
