  1. Lawrie would have been like Morgan - you root for him if he's on your team but if he plays for anyone else you think he's a total jag bag.

  3. They really are a good passing team. Like 4th in the league in assists I think.
  4. Which is the bigger problem rather than the design of the play. If you watch it again, Wilson hesitated which killed the advantage they had. He definitely had some options had he been aggressive there. So blame Bo for not preparing them better on the play but the one they drew up created the space they needed. Just didn't execute.
  5. Right, but the ball went out of bounds so the clock was stopped.
  6. Tremors leading up to the 1.5 quake.
  7. They ended up with more free throw makes than Cuse. Not to mention they got a three pointer off a rebound on one of Kaminsky's misses so that sort of negates the missed free throw argument.
  8. Well yeah I mean there's a reason they've only lost twice all year.
  9. Outmatched? You guys are funny. Those threes were WIDE OPEN for the most part. It was the passing offense that kept them in the game. Not luck. And George Marshall will be running point next year. Redshirting this year.
  10. Apparently it was an earthquake (or quakes).
  11. I have family there. Should see if my parents have talked to them about this.
  12. UW's been pretty good against zone this year. Northwestern, Montana games come to mind.
  13. This just gets more and more intriguing. From Jonathan Lucroy: “I’m not going to get into the details, but if you knew what we knew, people would be like, ‘Wow,’ ” Lucroy said, adding that he understood why Braun has elaborated only in private. “You’ve got to do that because it’s his prerogative. It’s up to him, it’s his choice. And honestly, if some of the things came out, it would be a lot more negative than positive. There are reasons." This is a snippet from a Bob Wolfley blog in the JSOnline. This stuff has to start slowly leaking out over time as more and more people find out what the deal is.
  14. In case anyone forgot, the same Norfolk St team that beat Mizzou lost to Marquette the first game of the year by 31 points. They then regrouped and lost to them by 2 a week later. They also lost to some school called Elizabeth City State. I have no idea who that is.
  15. I hate Duke.

However, you are right that Qbs are the faces of the NFL. I think with the rule changes favoring the passing game those days are gone. And let's be honest, even when QB's could get pummeled there were like three "game manager" QB's since the advent of the West Coast offense that have won a Super Bowl. Each had a devastating defense.
  17. I think QB's get treated with kid gloves a lot of the time. Heck Michael Vick was in prison and just signed a huge deal. You can't win without a good one. Other than that I agree with you.
  18. I just go to some nerd site like Basketball Prospectus or Nate Silver's blog and use their picks. Can't be any worse than what I come up with.
  19. UW is on TNT. MU on CBS. http://www.ncaa.com/mml/player/console.html?gameID=218
  20. Gooden had a triple double....a few more turnovers and he could have had a quadruple double! Interesting write-up on the Bogut trade: http://basketballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=2142 "Ideally, Ellis and Udoh work in concert for Milwaukee. Udoh dramatically upgrades the defense while Ellis replaces some of the scoring punch lost if Gooden sees less action. Fitting all the pieces together may take some time for Skiles, and that's the danger of making a major trade during this compressed season. With so little practice time, the Bucks will have to integrate newcomers on the fly. Now that the race is on for the last spot in the Eastern Conference Playoffs, however, a slight upgrade could make a difference. If so, Milwaukee achieved it without sacrificing long-term thinking. Though Udoh won't replace a healthy Bogut's production, he softens the blow and the Bucks freed some $8.5 million in salary for 2012-13, which could help them re-sign Ersan Ilyasova next summer."
  21. If Favre had been 26 years old it would have been different.
  22. Is there a woman's bracket I can bet on?
  23. Agreed. It's like the only way you can become an elite team in the NBA is to either: A) get supremely lucky in the lottery B) have a franchise located in Miami, LA, or Boston. Possibly New York too but they have been run by the equivalent of Sal Bando the last 20 years.
  24. ESPN's John Hollinger disagrees. Cited Scolla's $$$ as big difference. Thinks this is the better trade. As for getting into the lottery....meh. There's like five guys in the NBA at any one time that you basically have to have on your team in order to win a championship and the odds of getting one as the fifth or sixth team in the lottery are infinitesimal. It's a total crapshoot. NBA is a joke. I don't know why I even casually watch anymore.
  25. Agreed. Of course, I got all excited last year when Butler advanced.
