As for the Brewers failures developing pitchers, I really wonder if they are unique in that regard. Seems to me there are only one or two teams that consistently turn out solid arms.

I was just going to post about him. Really impressive numbers this year. Wonder if he'll get bumped before end of the season? EDIT: Actually, he's only got 32 games played so far. I bet they let him stick the year out in Appleton and start him out in BC next season.

DING! DING! And I'm not talking about substance abuse issues either. He's on the wrong side of 30 and can't play a full season as it stands. That won't get better as he ages.

His K rates in the minors were outstanding. In fact, his worst K/9 was this season before the call up.

And if they had the #1 pick the year Lebron was drafted instead of Bogut they probably would have been a in championship series or two.

Methinks they are following the Detroit model. They didn't have any superstars and won a title. Granted, that is certainly not the norm but to get a superstar you have to be incredibly lucky in the draft (as in, get the #1, 2, or 3 pick in the right year) or be incredibly attractive to a free agent (i.e. Boston, Miami, LA, etc)

At this point it's beyond the "well the hitters haven't seen scouting reports on him yet". He seems legit.

Should have traded Wolf in the off-season when his value was highest. Yes, 20/20 hindsight and what not but more than a few people were calling for a regression this season.

Seth Davis thinks Royce White is the steal of the draft. This leads me to believe that drafting him would be an extraordinarily bad idea.

I have the iPhone with unlimited data plan. One cool thing Sprint does is if you live somewhere with bad service (i.e. a garden unit apartment) they will give you a mini tower for free. All you do is pay the tax on it each month which works out to like $2 tops.

You can follow the Freedom Trail (a big red stripe painted on the sidewalk) that will take you past most of the big historic spots downtown. Kind of a nice way to see the sights without having to think too much.
