Once Roger Sterling dies of a heart attack (and you know that's coming eventually) then I may have to stop watching. That guy rules. I hope they skip ahead to the 70's next season. I want to see some serious mutton chops on Don Draper.
I agree, but what's blown me away about this season is how many times I've thought that after the newest episode. Tonight's was... Wow. Yeah, that was a shocker. What are they going to do to top it next week?
This recent article from Chicago magazine gives a good overview of dining options in Milwaukee: http://www.chicagomag.com/Chicago-Magazine/June-2012/Midwest-Foodie-Destinations-Milwaukee/
I'd just as soon go polished college player at #12 than some raw project like they've done the last two drafts with Harris and Saunders. Either that or grab a European player.
So apparently my apartment has bed bugs. I'm actually moving out in a week. Anything I can do to prevent the little guys from following me to my new place?
I can't believe people are getting the mindset that we are "stuck" with Weeks' contract. Guys have bad months...sometimes consecutively. He will break out of it and probably end up hitting north of .260.
The sad irony of the Bonds situation is that he was a surefire first ballot HOF'er and probably top 10 player of all time even BEFORE he took one drop of steroids.
Just as an aside....I asked Dennis Ghetto (old JS food critic. RIP) in one of his online chats how Milwaukee stacked up against other cities in the midwest (aside from Chicago of course) when it came to dining. He said Milwaukee was the best.
The first of what will be several injuries for an aging Cardinals squad. Reports on Twitter are that Beltran is already favoring his knee and Furcal is due to go down for about three weeks any day now. The catch is that St. Louis has guys in the minors ready to step in (e.g. Adams).
The plans for the downtown Montreal stadium that never was were really cool. http://www.ballparks.com/baseball/national/monbpk.htm It's a very compact city and the downtown area is great. The old stadium was connected via subway but out in the middle of nowhere. I don't know if that would be a profitable market for MLB or not but it would be a neat location if it ever did happen. Expos were my second favorite team for a while. People forget how awesome they were back in '94 when the strike wiped out their hopes for a World Series title.
