I don't think there's a chance he breaks the record. He was the only receiver they had for the first month. I think he had 500 yards receiving the first four weeks.
great question. He missed the 288 plays cutoff. He had somewhere between 225 and 250. (Also, looking at this chart I'm sure if the Packers had played New England Bailey Zappe would have been AFC player of the week)
The three leading receivers last night were all rookies....and one of them was a practice squad dude who absolutely should be playing every week. This offense is going to be Greatest Show on Turf levels if they can get everyone on the field at the same time.
Too bad about Sam LaPorta.
I do find it odd that people think you will be "rusty" if you don't go all out in the last week of the year but you will also be "rested" the week after a bye.
