  1. But this isn't Uncle Ted at the controls anymore!! You just don't know. Hopefully Guety is more Ron Wolf and less Ted. It would be very difficult, but I would give up both 1st round picks for Mack . The chance to aquire difference makers doesn't come along often.

  3. With the injury to Jake Ryan and the overall lack of veteran depth at wide receiver I keep hoping to add some veterans to those positions. I hear that Ahmad Thomas and Jake Kumerow are both showing well. That's great until Blake Martinez or (God forbid) DeVante Adams get hurt. It's not the starting lineup that scares me, it's the war of attrition that is the NFL thar does. Thomas isn't a thumper, he's a converted saftey. Sounds a lot like Oren Burks to me. It just feels like every season we've got a serious weak spot on the roster at a certain position , and then injuries strike and it jams up the works. It's been offensive tackle, running back, saftey, outside linebacker. This season I'm afraid it will be wide out and inside backer. I hope Guety has learned from Ted's short comings.
  4. 1) Queens 2) Bears 3) Seahawks 4) Niners 5) Cowboys
  5. Aaron Jones... you are dumb!! I think Jones is the best of the Packs RB's. Oh well. See you in week 3. There is enough depth there today with Williams and Monty. Now correct me if I'm wrong. But doesn't this have to be Jones's second failed drug test? I believe the first one gets you in the drug program but is just a warning. The second failed test leads to suspension. I don't understand players and the weed. Once your very short playing career is over you can smoke yourself silly. Until that time, follow the rules.
  6. I'm sure it was posted somewhere previously on Brewerfan, but Yo got $500,000 when he was released. I know we're talking baseball money and not "real world " but that seems like money poorly spent. I personally never thought Yo had much of a chance to make the team. And if he would've made the team I expect he would have been one of the first pitchers cut. I think Yo is done. Good luck with the Reds though. Thanks for the memories
  7. I would like both of those moves, provided the money is right.
  8. Don't worry everyone, he'll just wind up with the Lambs anyway!! Here's the question I struggle with. Does Beckham get us another ring? Moss would've made a world of difference for Brett. What could Aaron do with one of the best in the game? Lots of baggage. High cost to aquire and resign. I'm glad I don't have to make this decision. Almost feels like a "those who don't learn from history" kind of scenario. Just play Madden in your head for 30 seconds. What if Guety goes ape crap and gets Peterson & OBJ ? ( MIND BLOWN! !)
  9. [quoteWhen baseball cards were a bigger deal, 10- and 11-man pitching staffs were the norm. We're going with an early '90s-style roster! For references' sake, here's the Brewers' 1982 World Series Roster: Pitchers (10): Bernard, Caldwell, Easterly, Haas, Ladd, McClure, Medich, Slaton, Sutton, Vuckovich Catchers (2): Simmons, Yost Infielders (7): Cooper, Gantner, Howell, Molitor, Money, Picciolo, Romero Outfielders (5): Brouhard, Edwards, Moore, Oglivie, Thomas] Not trying to be the jerk here, but I think you might've missed the shortstop !!
  10. As much as I would hope it's the Crew, the smart money is on the Packers.
  11. I feel no remorse for my Badgers beating up on the west. None whatsoever. I strongly agree !!!
  12. Win-Loss Record: 86- 76 Playoffs (Yes, No): Yes Highest Playoff Level Achieved: NLCS All Star Game Representative(s):Yelich, Shaw, Chase Anderson!! Offensive Player of the Year: Yelich Pitcher of the Year: Chase Anderson Most Surprising Player: Corbin Burnes Most Disappointing Player: Manny Pina
  13. I did watch the first season and am eagerly anticipating season two in April!! I definitely didn't see the twists coming in that one.
  14. I'm honestly not too worried about the O-line. I believe that Bulaga will be ready by mid season at the latest. Hopefully he opens the season on the 53 man roster and is ready to go by early October. Kyle Murphy did an excellent job last season before he got injured. He manned left tackle while Bakhitari was injured and held his own. He is a right tackle by trade. I'd be more than comfortable with him manning right tackle until Bulaga returns. Surprisingly I'm going to advocate for Justin McCray as the regular starting right guard. When he made the 53 man last season I lost my mind. I thought he as complete garbage and Thompson had lost his mind. Well I still believe that Uncle Ted has lost his once brilliant mind. But couldn't believe how well McCray played. He has athletic limitations, but he's strong, nasty and smart. He belongs inside at guard. Better depth would be great. I don't think Spriggs is going to get better. I'm calling second round bust. I let him try to win a roster spot during camp but prepare to cut him come September. Lucas Patrick has got a nasty streak and he's worth a look as a back up. He played ok when his number was called.
  15. We watch a lot of TV. -A.P. Bio - PLEASE WATCH IT!! It's a mid season show and those always struggle for another season. Very funny. Seth Myers is an executive producer and it has his style of humor. -Brooklyn 99 -LA->Vegas -Modern Family -The Big Band Theory (ready for the end though) -Stranger Things -Thanks to the Brewerfan recommendation. LOVED IT!! -Better Call Saul -Ozark - really enjoyed season 1, quite dark -Peaky Blinders -Game of Thrones -Poldark -Into the Badlands -The Son (love westerns) Going to give the new Roseanne a shot. We watched it when I was a kid.
  16. Josh Jackson in the second giving up one of the fourth round picks would be amaze balls!!! Sign me up. I'm also coming around to signing Tra and House. I don't like the idea of signing the oldest corners in the history of the world, but what are the options ?
  17. 1. Corbin Burnes 2. Keston Hiura 3. Brandon Woodruff 4. Tristen Lutz 5. Maverick Phillips 6. Lucas Erceg 7. Luis Ortiz 8. Corey Ray 9. Taylor Williams 10. Mauricio Dubon 11. Freddy Peralta 12. Trent Grisham 13. Adrian Houser 14. Jake Nottingham 15. Cody Ponce 16. Jake Gatewood 17. Mario Feliciano 18. Nathan Kirby 19. Bubba Derby 20. Jean Carmona 21. Nate Orf 22. Phil Bickford 23. Jorge Lopez 35. Tristan Archer 36. Clint Coulter 37. Kodi Medeiros 38. Zach Clark 39. Gabriel Garcia 40. Dustin Houle
  18. Peavy I really hope you're correct with finding $10-15 million in space. McGinn's sources believe the Packers will be a player for Trumane Johnson. I would look to extend Bulaga.
  19. My question about replacing Randall, where does the money come from? We want to sign old man Sherman and his two blown achilles? Trumaine Johnson? Malcolm Butler? These guys are not going to come cheap at all. They will all be quite expensive. While the Rams are out there acquiring two starting cornerbacks (and a free shot with whatever Sam Shields has left in the tank) we currently have an injured second round pick wonder performed in college. I think I'm beginning to be done with McCarthy. He couldn't handle Randall? I mean let's just faced facts he's a highly successful NFL coach. I'm really coming around to the fact that he's lived off of Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. He hasn't done anything without them.
  20. I really dislike this trade. This team is going nowhere when Aaron Rodgers goes down as he did this past season. Back up QB was a lower priority on my want list. Did I want a better back up QB ? Sure. But not at this cost. Randall is an immature player. He gets hurt multiple times a game. But the last time I checked he was the best corner on a horrible defense that has serious salary cap problems. Randall was a cheap, uber talented starting corner (slot corner is a starting position ) for two more seasons. So the "guys" didn't care for him? Boo hoo. Shut your mouth and play ball. Big Mike didn't like being challenged? Do your job big boy (you sure as hell defended Haha whom punked out in week 17). They can't afford to give up on cheap talent when they have so many holes to fill with such limited resources. You didn't plug a hole, you made a new in your crummy strating lineup.
  21. Cappy and that darn pick off move!! He'd get guys not even trying to steal. Back in the dark days his run at 20 wins was a fun watch. Smart Duke guy. Hope he stays in the game.
  22. As of this early date, I think you go with Miley and Guerra. Send Sutter and Woodruff to AAA and tell them to be ready. I don't believe in either of Miley or Guerra but you use them or you loose them. (Actually Guerra could probably go down ? Not sure?) I would have a very short leash with both. Hope we sign Cobb.
  23. If he can stay healthy (fingers crossed ) I'd go with Taylor Williams. Coming out of the bullpen you want to be throwing gas, and that's Taylor's MO. It's been a long road for him. Hope it all comes together this season. More inexpensive, cost controlled arms would be a thing of beauty!
  24. Comp picks are in. The Pack receives a 4th, 2 5ths, and a 6th. They have all of their own picks plus a 7th from Buffalo. Brain G. has a lot of ammo to work with.
  25. Rick, I think you can get in there to post. I don't think it's locked. There's a link in the very first post. It's a different Yoku site kind of deal I think. There are other Brewerfan posters over there that I saw in my quick visit.(stemming from this post)
