    At this point of the season Van Vliet and Pritzl are clearly 11 and 12 in the rotation. A little disappointing, but probably expected on both. Neither got in the game until the end, under 3 minutes left in the game. Hopefully they can work their way into the rotation as the season progresses. BK looked good. Arkansas started to play more zone in the second half and Koening made them pay from behind the arc. D'mtrick Trice looked pretty good as the # 2 point guard. A little undersized, but he had a good handle and shot it well. 2 dumb turn overs, but he is a true freshman. Gard didn't have Bo's quick hook either. Iverson's athleticism stood out again. Charles Thomas IV (I guess Charlie is so freshman year) needs to be stronger around the rim. All in all a good first game.

    I was wondering about the blogs. That stinks, I really liked them. The quick hit stuff was great. It appears that it isn't a pay site at the moment. Does that seem correct to others? If it is the case I'm guessing after a short while they will turn it back to a pay site after they have you hooked on the new product.

    You really do forget how many great players have played this game. If I was jaw jacking with some dude at a bar I would've easily said Ichiro was a top 50 player of all-time. But after seeing The Stache's" homework, I would've been wrong. Still, Ichiro has been fun to watch.

    Hey now, what's wrong with Baraboo!! Bromley is the local columnist. The good old Baraboo News Republic is fine for a small towns paper. Not exactly the New York Times. You're hopeful it gets your obit correct and everything else is gravy.

    I know that it hasn't been reported anywhere yet, but any chance that Colin Walsh could also be part of this trade ? I doubt it, but seems like a natural fit. What are we going to do for excitement around here after Stearns trades away all of the assets? This has been the busiest off season I can recall. A lot of fun so far!

    I'm wondering if one the mods would be interested in busting out a blast from the past-- the formerly often abused poll!!! I know that I keep coming back several times a day to see if the Luc trade has gone down. And it sure seems like a lot of others are in the same boat. Problem is, we've chewed up a lot of the ground when it comes to talking points. Who & when. I was wondering about the possibility of 2 poll questions. When will Luc get traded (before start of camp, before start of season, at the break, not this season). Other question was which team? (Rangers, Nats, Astro, or other. If there's another team that should be added that I'm to obtuse to see add them). If the polls are a road we don't want to travel down again, that's cool. It just seems like this is a really big deal at this point and it might be an outlet for opinions.

    If Joe leaves, eh? When you are lucky enough to grow up listening to Pat Hughes and Jim Powell along side of Uke, the Provus and Blocks don't stand a chance.

    I'd do it all over again. I had never witnessed Brewer playoff baseball in my life (too young to know what was up in 1982). With CC and Ben we had a 1-2 punch capable of winning the whole darn thing. The next time we were a Mark Kotsayless CF (not all on him, but it sounds better) away from a WS appearance. I know those moves led to us being in the dumps noe, but I don't have regrets.

    My heart would be broken. I would no longer be a die hard fan of any franchise. It would be very hard to pass my passion onto my kids. I would probably adopt the Twins as my team (hey, if they're good enough for Pauly). What would remain? My red hot hatred of the Cubs and White Sox. Burn baby burn!!

    The wife and I went to the Martian on Saturday and we both really enjoyed it. Friends that I talked to that have seen it have also given it positive reviews. I have not read the book so I can't compare the two. And I'm also a fairly easy to entertain, not to harsh of a critic. I would recommend it.

    Make good trades to acquire future talent. Lose as many games as possible so we can have higher draft picks. (I'm not rooting against my beloved Brewers, I looking ti brighter futures for them.)

    I personally think that Monte has a higher ceiling and a better chance to reach his ceiling than Jake. There has been a lot of talk about how Jake has a long swing, he may get to big to stay at short and he hasn't had a ton of success last season or this season (although he has been heating up over the last month plus). Monte is raw but hasn't been dedicated entirely to baseball while Jake has been a baseball machine for quite sometime. Monte did have a successful season last year in short season ball. I like them both, I just like Monte more. Just my opinion.

    The family and I stayed at Country Springs this past summer. I had no complaints and we would go back there. Our daughter was 2 1/2 and enjoyed the water park (there was enough for her to do there as well as our 6 year old God daughter.) Speaking of Tundra Lodge, we loved it. Would recommend it. And Bay Beach amusement park was also a winner in Green Bay.

    " 9/11 was 14 years ago, time to ditch GBA on Sunday and holiday games." I would disagree about getting rid of "God Bless America". I think it's one of those things that makes baseball great. Kind of spanning the generations. I like the rule changes. Don't see a lot of downside to any of them.
