  1. Yeppers, and oh, yeah, yeppers.
  2. The thing that really stands out about Gillespie in terms of seperation is his walk/k ratio which is about even at 31/30 going into tonight. This is compared to the two other MVP candidates - Chapman and Errecart, who have a 2/5 ratio comparitively.
  3. Nice to see Jesse Harper throw a second inning of scoreless ball yesterday - now up to 4 scoreless in his Arizona showing this year.
  4. Re-read them before you go ahead and make a donkey of yourself calling me out. Inappropriate. And saying that to hawing? Unreal. If bucksman4 has an account here tomorrow, I will be plenty shocked and upset.
  5. Thanks for that insider info Colby on Salty - interesting grist for the offseason mill, as the Brewers would have an interest in him for a trade, which could be possible given McCann.
  6. Great list as usual, thanks for your work My question is why Cain is 13 spots above Gamel, considering that they have had similar statistical years. Cain is 9 months younger, but I think Gamel deserves a top 15 spot as well as Cain.
  7. As I type, 31 innings of scoreless ball throw by Brewer pitchers not named Jeffress tonight......
  8. An amazing night so far in terms of pitching performances....just crazy Kudos go out to Dillard, Inman, Eveland, and even Jesse Harper with scoreless outings. Also a special mention to Callix Crabbe for his 3x3 with a walk tonight...he really turned his season around.
  9. Pogo is right on the money - it is just a different list than we are used to. Having a guy like Jeffress on the periphery of the list says a lot, because even if he is a high school guy several years away - a 102 heater is a very rare commodity. Also, looking at guys that were not on the Power 50 like Thatcher and Bell, and even Callix Crabbe, that in my mind have big league potential in some capacity shows me how incredibly deep our minors really are. This is the deepest prospect list I have seen in the brewerfan/net, power 50 era.
  10. Keeping on board the Joe Thatcher lovetron tonight since I just found out we were both alums of Indiana State. Do not forget that Thatcher also pitched 9 shutout innings in Brevard last year, meaning that in 40 combined Brevard innings, he has given up 1 earned run and only 27 base runners.
  11. With his Home Run and single (not to mention his 13th stolen base), Cole Gillespie climbs atop the league OPS list. When the Power 50 returns, I would hope to see Gillespie somewhere between 10-14. And Joe Thatcher is sick....with his 3 perfect innings tonight he lowers his Brevard ERA to 0.29
  12. Nice to see Brent Brewer back tonight, albeit a game in which he made an error that led to three unearned runs.
  13. I thiught Steve Moss was the next Carl Crawford? In all seriousness, if not fairness, good call on Cain - a top 10 prospect in the Brewers organization.
  14. Rookie leaguer Santo Manzanillo's line just bedazzles me - 14 2/3 innings pitched for Baby Brewers, and 41 walks allowed.
  15. I am guessing Salome will have to be moved from the catcher position because of this. I believe a leftfield spot will be in his future next year.
  16. any word on the seriousness of Brent Brewer's injury....he was taken out midgame a few days ago, and has not been back since.
  17. Well, a dislocated ankle, as the manager stated it was, is going to be a several month injury. That really stinks, but rather would have had this now than April 15.
  18. I was at a barbecue party, and I didn't get a chance to see the game tonight. How did Corey Hart look at the plate and in the field? Like Geoff Jenkins on his very very very worst day 0 for 5, left 43 men on base (give or take), and decided not to throw home on a play at the plate for some inexplicable reason.
  19. I just think his chainsaw juggling career has taken off......
  20. 1987-12-19 is Brewer's birthdate....it is not a shock that he is raw. Considering the Brewers are playing him at a position they initially didn't mention him at, instead saying he was going to go to the outfield, this is obviously a learning process for Brewer. Remember too, this guy is regarded as one of the fastest players in the minors - he has the tools - not every player can be polished like Cole Gillespie.
  21. Katin is now is 3rd in the FSL in both Rbi's and Total bases after his 4x4 , 2 dinger game today.... He has been very very good.
  22. sorry Hawing I was just told that you were 25,000,001 by a source that wishes not to be named.....
  23. Not just you, that is just hilarious. Nelson Cruz really doesn't look like Dennis Haysbert, but I would say we have our version of Serrano languishing in the minors.
  24. The only question I have for Yo! and CV, is who will have the lower ERA by the end of the night? Excellent (Jeff) query - 13 innings so far between the two - 0 runs so far.
  25. I think ambag is infectious....we might want to quarantine the chat area.
