  1. DOLLAR SIGN-OCTOTHORN-AMPERSAND-PERCENT SIGN!!!!! oooooohhhh, Brian is going to get you for that one
  2. Turnbow is making good pitches, for all that want to heap blame on him....
  3. check out Kane Davis' 2001 season with the Rockies from the player index...not bad at all......
  4. it has been awhile since I have been villified, so what the heck, I will post this link as a JDLR comparison..... www.baseball-reference.co...ra05.shtml
  5. Darren (to Bill): yeah, but would he remember you? Bill (not recognize the bathroom humor in what he is saying): Well, he would remember the back of my head.
  6. 2 things: Purple Storm, it has been mentined elsewhere that the thought is that Hart will be staying with the big club, and not sent back down. Secondly, I would recommend that everyone checks out the John Curtis thread in the minor league forum...He is our A ball pitching coach, and he suffered a brain hemmorage when hit by a line drive by our prospect Alcides Escobar...Curtis has paralysis from the hemorrage over the left side of his body....while not a well-known name by most here, this is a story all Brewer fans should be cognizent of......
  7. Wow, Helena down 16-0 after 3 innings, ends up with more hits than their opponent, but still loses 18-10...Holmberg with his 9th homer and my guy Chapman with a dinger too... I feel bad for the pitcher that had to come out after 4 and 2/3 innings with a 16-1 lead due to pitch count....
  8. Wes Helms with a career .970 OPS vs. the Reds.....
  9. Its a Wes Helms fat joke....which means the person that dealt it has to lick the backside of the nearest roadkill... its a tough rule, but I am sure brewerfan has a reason.
  10. General Patton with yet another dinger for Helena.... wondering who that is - well here is the explanation from our draft thread that day.... Holmberg possesses outstanding intangibles and instincts? his leadership and passion for the game have earned him the nickname ?General Patton??batted .424 with a .638 on-base percentage and a .447 slugging percentage during the fall exhibition period? the first All-Conference shortstop to return for senior campaign in Embry-Riddle history?his leadership, instincts and savvy are all keys for the Eagles to achieve their goals in 2005.
  11. Hart just pinch hit in Nashville.....
  12. Though he does not have enough at bats to qualify, Braun, who has 2 more double tonight, is 2nd in the South Atlantic League in OPS, trailing only Hunter Pence. Braun now has 27 extra base hits in 173 at bats so far..... Braun should be in the top 5 amongst Brewer prospects.
  13. that was kind of an odd looking double play - Rickie was kind of late getting to second, but man does he have a strong arm....
  14. when does brewerfan.net get the redundant poster ejection seat feature we have all been asking for?
  15. Robert Hinton was just an amazing relief performance tonight - 4 innings - 0 hits - 0 walks - 6 k's
  16. Corey Hart just stole 2nd and 3rd, so he now has 31 stolen bases on the year.....does it take 4 or 5 strides for Corey to steal a base....
  17. Prince's 4 for 4 with a walk performance today gets him up to .286 with close to a .930 OPS.
  18. p.s. Anyone else notice that Prince's hot streaks tend to coincide with trips to the Western hitters' paradise parks? I'm not sure what that means. filthy, love your posts, but I personally see a .920 OPS with 80+ Rbi's as one big hot streak.....especially for a guy his age I think it is quite a remarkable season.
  19. I made the trek from Apple-ton to see the game, which was a quite discouraging game... I did read the game thread in its entirety, but I do know that there is some dispute as to weather the Sheets decision was a good one....in my mind it was one of the worst decisions I have seen Yost make.....just the feel to the game made it seem like THIS was the Brewers chance.....the crowd literally had the air sucked out of it when Sheets made his way to the plate..... Weeks has an incredible arm by the way....his throw to get Suppan was one of the strongest throws I have ever seen a second baseman make.
  20. You know it is kind of difficult to have a 6 game lead in the standings after only 9 games, but Helena has managed to do it...... Only Huntsville out of the playoff hunt with 3+ weeks left in the regular season.....Brevard in 1st place ostensibly with Vero Beach's 1st half win.....
  21. On Enrique Cruz: Yeah, he's making errors, but there's also an .844 OPS in a pitcher's league on the table as well. Good point Clancy (falling off chair)
  22. Just a note for those going to future games in this series....if a cardinal fan loudly boos when he is being intentionally walked, it is very ok to accidentally elbow them in the head while stretching or something of that ilk.
  23. Wow hope that's the end of Flores! Righties bat .333 off of him....he is just really good vs. lefties. Did our announcers even realize we just got Pujols out?
  24. On a side note Ryan Braun is 4-4 with a HR and a double. He's hitting .353 now. That means there is only a 20% chance of And That ripping him a new one for some perceived fault in the next 24 hours...
