  1. Coincidently, I believe Jordan's tongue thing also a tribute to his dad.
  2. Did Enrico Palazzo replace the umpire? edit: beaten!
  3. I have no idea why that would be. Untucking your shirt seems very innocent, its not like the players are showing the other team their fingers while they do it. Maybe Rick Horton's parents were murdered by a gang of thugs with untucked shirts.
  4. Sometimes I get mad at Dan Gadzuric too but I know he's trying his best and Larry Harris is the one I should really be mad at.
  5. As if I needed another reason to hate Ryan Freel! Whats next, Cubs trade for David Eckstein?
  6. Are they going to talk about this karaoke guy the entire game?
  7. For some reason I thought he did too, but I guess not. Are you thinking of Trent Durrington, maybe?
  8. If you can still get your numbers up to something respectable with 1 or 2 good games, its way too early to think about replacing someone.
  9. The computer really overheated? Bad CPU heatsink/fan maybe?
  10. Pirates fans http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  11. Personally, I think complaining about how he watches home runs is really silly. It's like deciding that a player is lazy/uninterested/doesn't try hard because of his facial expressions. He probably doesn't even realize he's doing it, and I'm all but certain he's not trying to be a jerk. As far as his comments to the media, I've always thought he sounds more like a coach. Not sure if that means cocky or not.
  12. Prince Fielder probably wants to leave - whining about making league minimum even though every single 1-3rd year player in the league makes league minimum suggests to me that he wants the biggest contract he can get. Ryan Braun hasn't done anything to suggest that he's in a hurry to leave - in fact, I'd take his signing an 8-year contract to mean the exact opposite. He'll be past his prime when that contract is up.
  13. When I was a kid, I couldn't figure out what state the Golden State Warriors played in.
  14. I ordered one of these last week and was shocked to find ketchup on it. I hate ketchup more than Joe Buck hates Randy Moss, and I've never in my life heard of a burger with bacon that also had ketchup by default. Bacon burgers used to represent a safe zone for me, but now Wendy's has destroyed that. Dave Thomas would be rolling in his grave. I realize I could just say "no ketchup" but i feel stupid requesting them to hold something that isn't even there to begin with. On a sort of related note, I'm also kind of grossed out by the fact that they claim to not freeze their burgers. What do they do, leave them out to rot?
  15. Haha. In other words, the "Joe Morgan answer".
  16. Even though I knew McLouth won a gold glove last season, I still exclaimed "WHAT!?!?!" when our announcers mentioned it.
  17. Large market teams trade their prospects for stars when they have a shot too, thats one of the reason the Yankees never have any prospects.
  18. He might be a little better than McGehee. I'd just as soon give Adam Heether (who just voluntarily moved to AA to get more ABs and presumably work on playing shortstop) a chance though, as he's probably more versatile and hit better than both of them in AAA last season.
  19. I'd guess that they would have let him know ahead of time, that they were working on a trade with Cleveland. Brantley's agent seemed to be well aware that one of his clients was going to be traded.
  20. Same old Brewers.
  21. The Charlotte Bobcats and Columbus Blue Jackets should merge and become the Charlotte Starter Jackets IMHO. The St Louis Blues were actually named after an old song of the same name, and also for the large number of prominent blues musicians from the city. So that one actually does make sense.
  22. These rules don't make much sense. If I'm reading this correctly, people who live anywhere in Iowa are supposed to get up to 6 games a night, correct? I wonder what Extra Innings subscription rates look like there.
  23. DirecTV for the trifecta. They actually had it listed in the program guide on the HD channel, but took it off a few minutes after the game started.
  24. That, and most rule changes typically favor offense. Don't worry, we'll get some bad calls in our favor before its all over.
