Agreed, Altidore handled the lone striker role very well. We knew he had the tools, but its great to see him put it all together after a rough season.

I'm just using an Xbox 360, connecting to the open source UPNP server ushare which I'm running on a FreeBSD server. Works great for whatever file formats I've thrown at it. -

Audio only? I would guess 50-100mb at most, but I'm not sure what the quality is like. Could be more or less, depending.

Royce Clayton 4 hits I was also at the Josh Willingham 2 grand slam game, and the Happy Youngster vs Chris Coghlan game. Not terribly exciting, but borderline noteworthy. -
If Prince gets traded, we may not see an actual Brewer on the Brewer calendar until October.

It seems to me that the rest of the Big 12, the WAC, and MWC could all consolidate down into two pretty respectable conferences. Or one really good one, and one mediocre one. Maybe they should do a first division/second division thing with promotion and relegation. Maybe I'm just rambling.

Yeah, we know he's had a lot of injuries to deal with, and catching isn't exactly easy on the body. Or maybe he's Rube Baker. Either way, he's shown that he can hit, so if we can do something to help get his bat to the majors sooner, that's probably a good thing.

I thought I remember Attanasio making some strong comments about Suppan being a proven winner after the World Series. I don't think there will ever be any shut-up-camera type evidence to confirm it, but it did look like MA had a big role in the signing.

I can't find it right now, but I remember reading some article awhile ago explaining how inconsistent teams will actually tend to win more games over a season. Hopefully somebody will know what I'm talking about, it was pretty interesting.

Hoffman has gotten batters out recently, Suppan hasn't. edit: Before we get too upset about this, we should wait and see what the other related moves are when guys have to come off the DL. If Suppan being DFA'd ends up being one of them, this doesn't really matter much, and Heether was going to be one of the odd men out anyway. If Suppan does make it through all of this somehow, then yeah, I'll be upset.

Could be Riske too, I suppose. If we're bothering to activate one of those two from the 60-day DL, you would think that a move to MLB would be happening too (in which case, waiving Heether wouldn't make much sense). Weird.

Yeah, I don't see why he would be upset. What else was he going to do, stay in Nashville the whole time? Would that have been preferable?

I just ate a Culvers double chipotle burger (and made the drive-thru guy a bit uncomfortable thanks to my intentional mispronunciation of the word "chipotle", which he felt obligated to replicate) and then ran 10 miles. This is why I'm hot.

In Madison, the intersection at Whitney Way and Schroeder Rd is like this 100% of the time. I used to go through it every day on my way home from work, and I'm not exaggerating. Once in awhile, I end up having to be that doofus for whatever reason, and I always feel really bad about it. If the only "go straight" lane is also the right turn lane, its fine for obvious reasons. But I think the issue is if there are dedicated left turn, straight, and a straight/right turn lanes. In these situations, I think its a jerkish thing to do to go straight from the right turn lane (at least if you had a decent opportunity to move over into the correct lane).

I think the issue was that Ching's pace was off, even by his standards, due to recent injuries. Dempsey (when played as a CF) can do all of the same things and will probably play 90 minutes of every game anyway, so Bradley likely decided to give that last roster spot to someone who is more likely to play/be needed.
