  1. I am not able to make this game, and really want the Fielder bobble with the crown. Does anyone expect to have an extra they will sell me for a reasonable price? All I have to trade are these: Molitor 82 mini white Gantner 82 mini white Kuenn 82 mini white Oglivie 82 mini white Sutton 82 mini white Opening Day schedule magnet
  2. I don't know what the law actually says but in my opinion I think that if you want to deny yourself medical attention in favor of prayer that's one thing, but to do it for someone else should be criminal, including your children.
  3. ConvertXtoDVD from VSO software works great, I've used it many times for converting AVI, MPG, WMV, and etc to DVD files and creating a simple menu. It is a small program, unlike the bulky Nero. It is $49, but there is a free trial. I then use ImgBurn (free) to burn to DVD. Have used both on XP and Vista. These 2 programs have pretty much replaced Nero for me, along with Alcohol 120%.
  4. No offense to anyone, but I want nothing to do with games like Civilization or World of Warcraft. My one absolute requirement in a game is that there is an end. I think I actually prefer shorter games, like Portal. I had that beat in only maybe four hours or so. Yeah I've been debating whether or not to try Team Fortress or Half-Life 2, I think I'm leaning toward Half-Life 2. What do you guys know about Bioshock? That looks kind of interesting.
  5. I need help deciding what my next video game purchase will be. I've never been a big gamer, but just recently I bought a higher-end PC and thought I'd try out a couple games. I beat Call of Duty 4 on Veteran, and beat Portal as well. These games both came highly recommended to me and I loved both, but now a I need a new recommendation. I prefer non-multiplayer games, I just prefer doing missions and/or puzzles. Thanks!
  6. The only thing that looks strange to me is that he appears to be in a home run trot. Haven't seen that from him around here too much in recent years, he has mostly been seen around here in whiff-at-balls-in-the-dirt mode. The colors look good on him, but so would anything other than blue. Edit: Obviously the dude's a good guy, I am just happy he is playing for someone else at this point in his career.
  7. Just like last year when 21 people were arrested for it, I'm sure they think they are being heros for their cause, saying they support the troops, but not the war. Thats a bunch of BS, how can you support the troops when you vandalism and spit on everything they stand for? These people are selfish punks who need to open their eyes. That is a purely political statement intended to incite an argument. I could give you a great answer to your question but won't for two reasons: 1. This is not the appropriate forum, and 2. Judging by your post, you probably are too arrogant to actually listen to it. Sorry.
  8. I would switch doctors immediately. If he hasn't been helping the situation, why would you stay with him? You have been paying for him to not help you. Just get a referral, and your insurance should cover it. I've had a similar experience with my son, and have learned that you have to think of your doctor as a service you pay for like a carpenter or hair stylist (if you don't like your haircut you go somewhere else next time), even though a lot of the time we don't think that way because we don't directly pay for it usually if we have insurance. And some doctors just simply aren't as good as others, or just have different specialties than what you need them for.
  9. My dad needed a new computer a couple years ago so I just went to Walmart and bought an HP off the shelf for like $399. It included a nice monitor and it is more than capable for what he needs it for (email, basic web browsing, etc.). It is actually a better machine than what I had at the time and paid $900 for.
  10. I like the "Just Brew It" ones the best. Nice job on these, guys.
  11. Doesn't work on my Intel Mac either. OSX 10.5.2 Safari 3.04 (5523.15)
  12. Does not work for me either. OSX: 10.4.11 PPC, Safari: 3.04 (523.12). Installed all latest updates including latest version of java. Tried with clean safari preferences as well, so it shouldn't be just a setting. Works fine in firefox and all the browsers on my pc. I have an Intel mac at work, I'm interested to see if that has anything to do with it. I'll try it on Monday.
  13. The Departed Goodfellas Reservoir dogs Scarface Casino
  14. I should be getting a few of them. Also, I will not be able to attend the Prince bobble game on April 6th. Free magnetic schedule to anyone who sells me a Prince bobble at a reasonable price.
  15. Sounds like you are not actually completing the merge. You need to tell it to "merge to new file" or "merge to printer" in order to do the whole list of addresses. If you just tell it to print, it will print one page only.
  16. I was in NY a few years ago. The Yankees were on the road at the time, but I took the subway out there and was able to go on a stadium tour. Got to see a World Series trophy and to walk on the field. Pretty cool.
  17. Wow, sounds like quite an operation. I have been thinking about a smallish veggie garden myself. Do you recommend doing it in full sun or a partially shaded area? How often do you water?
  18. I too have been thinking about having this procedure done. Whenever I read up on it, I always see that there is a chance that it won't work or even of blindness. Anyone ever heard of that actually happening? Also, I know some people think that it may not be a good idea long term. They say that scar tissue will eventually (like 20-30 years) build up and blind you. Since it hasn't been around that long, there is of course no way to know for sure. What do you guys think about that?
  19. Yeah, you could try a different channel and that may work. Otherwise you will need a new phone. Microwave ovens also operate in that frequency and would knock out wireless when running.
  20. This would have been apropriate a few years ago, but probably not now. "The suck stops here. Brewerfan.net".
  21. I bought a Craftsman push mower and the carburator (sp?) died this fall after less than two full summers. The warranty is only one year, but I went to Sears to see what a fix would cost me. They have a flat fee of $130 to fix any lawnmower problem. I paid $140 for the mower. Needless to say I took it to some local guy who fixed it for $30.
  22. I'm sure he must have worn contacts previously. I play fastpitch softball and got contacts for only that. I don't need them for anything else and I played for years without them, but the difference for me after getting them is huge when hitting even though I barely notice a difference while doing other things. If it's true that his vision is improved, he could very well be in for a good hitting year.
  23. I'm also looking to buy a bunch of tiks. We used to do a group purchase of like 40 tiks every opening day, but they aren't able to do that this year. Saz's isn't having their thing this year, they can't get tiks either. Leff's supposedly will have tickets but they don't know when. They just say to watch the website.
  24. Sorry guys, I haven't been a fan of Kendall for at least 6 or 7 years I doubt I'll start now. What little you gain in OBP, you lose in SLG. Defensively, Kendall is at least as bad as Estrada. I agree with whoever said we should have just got a defensive stud since Kendall won't be much better offensively than a Henry Blanco-type catcher, at least per dollar.
