  1. Corgan's voice sounds so strong compared to when they broke up. He does have a great and unmistakable voice. One of those voices where if a song by him you never heard came on,you never would have to say,who is that?
  2. Any Troma Film, Toxic Avenger Toxic Avenger mixed with watching as a teenager and lots of mind altering substances made that for an all time classic. I remember friends and i walking through the halls in high school reciting lines from that movie and people looking at us dumbfounded.I would be curious to know what the budget for that movie was.
  3. My reaction when the last episode ended was,how are they going to finish it all of in only one hour? There just seems like there are so many loose ends to tie up yet that one hour can't possibly fit it all in. Maybe if the last episode was two hours it feels like there would be enough time to probably not leave viewers with a bunch of what about questions.Who knows though,Chase is a great writer so he very well could pull it off.
  4. I'd consider trading Parra for the right rental,no way on Inman.Only chance i'd ever trade him is in some package for say a Crawford or another player that's under contract for another year or two at least.
  5. I guess I just hope the best for him. Not me,he seems like a big time prick.I wish the best for good people who have bad things happen to them, but try hard to better themselves. This guy just seems like a baby making machine that likes to threaten woman, what a tough guy. To be honest, unless some his baseball income actually goes to support all the kids he helped create,i wish the worst for him in his career.
  6. 2-1 count and Estrada hacks at ball three in a game we are down four runs.I swear this guy would swing at a pitch at his eyes before taking a walk.
  7. BULLPEN = Bush's biggest foe. He left the game with runners on first and third with nobody out, were you expecting the relievers to strike out the side and strand both runners? I could see if he got pulled with two outs, but there was nobody out.
  8. If you are going to use your closer when you have a 99% chance of winning, you won't have him when you actually need him. I'm glad Yost used Cordero 1.One more baserunner puts the tying run at the plate 2.Cordero was up already, may as well have him get the last out to be sure.Wise is a fine reliever, but i'd rather not have him pitching with the chance at a three run jack than having the game over.If Cordero wasn't already up and ready to come in,then it's a different story.
  9. I do wonder what possibly could have made James think entering the draft was a good idea. He's a tiny point guard that can't shoot and was coming off a very poor season.I'm no NBA scout, but it was obvious to even me that James was nowhere near ready for the NBA and it's very questionable if he ever will be.
  10. Why can't a movie as good as say.... "Buffalo '66" come out this summer? I just saw that recently via Netflix.Always nice to see a suprisingly good movie that i hadn't even heard of until a friend told me to check it out.
  11. Unbelievable, it seems Yost would rather use a lucky fan from the bleachers in the 8th inning than Cordero. I will never understand. You must not have read the managers handbook, that's not allowed.
  12. I'm a big Pollack fan, even if some folks think it looks like he sneezed paint on canvas That's me I'd say they look like he wore a blindfold and randomly threw paint at a wall and they sold for millions.
  13. I'm not sure I agree with all the talk about how great this thead is. One side sems to be using facts and reason and the other seems to be neglecting to do so. Yep Bradyo talks first about how OBP and walks are overrated, but RBI's are some much more important and praised Francoeur for getting his 100 RBI's last year. In doing so he conviently ignored that a big reason Francoeur got those RBI's is because the guys hitting in front of him walked alot, which put the baserunners on for Francoeur to knock in. Francoeur had a .293 OBP last year.If he had three guys alergic to walks like he is hitting in front of him instead of the patient hitters the Braves did have, there wouldn't have been near enough baserunners to get those 100 RBI's. It's like the Tony Batista syndrome.Because he never walked and always swung,it allowed him to rack up cheap RBI totals while make boatloads of outs so people behind him had less chance to knock runs in.
  14. I always wonder when people sue over the death of a loved one and win money,do they spend it on themselves? I have a daughter and even if she was wrongfully killed and a lawsuit was justified,i couldn't imagine doing anything with the won money except giving it to charity. The thought of living in a new home, driving a new car,or traveling on a vacation with money from my kids death kinda turns my stomach.Just couldn't see myself doing it.
  15. Saito just seems like an average closer to me. What? 24 straight saves 2006--2.07 ERA/.091 WHIP/.177 BAA 2007--1.71 ERA/.081 WHIP/.195 BAA As for Braxton, they aren't trading him for a 5th starter,a spare part outfielder, and an A ball pitcher even as talented as Inman is.
  16. The Northwest is hardly a dream scenario for the NBA in placing two young potential stars. They will be playing their home games when many people on the East Coast are going to bed and some in the Midwest are.
  17. Will this make you stop watching the nation's favorite sport? Of course not,but i will be hoping Portis tears up a knee or blows out an achilles tendon.
  18. "Lock up a man doing positive things in the community, a positive role model? Over a dog fight? For nothing?"
  19. video.msn.com/v/us/fv/fox...y&msnhphma A couple of really classy Washington Redskin players laughing it up about how everyone should leave Michael Vick alone because dog fighting is no big deal.I love NFL football, but there are quite a few big time scumbags playing in that league. I would love to see Portis thrown in a dog fighting pit with about 5 of the crazed mistreated pitbulls that he feels are toys to be treated however any human wishes. (added tag --1992)
  20. Now that it's a tie game with the bases loaded, you OBVIOUSLY can't use your best reliever? Cordero down, Sperling up. The logic is mind blowing. Typical of managers today
  21. I ate my share of shrooms back in the day,but never tried gambling while doing it.Tony caught a break that he didn't lose every penny he had on him. Solid episode, kinda figured that Tony was going to off Chrissy before the show ended.I hope all the air time and buildup with AJ leads to something worthwhile because Robert Iler is a bad actor and his character has rarely been interesting in large doses.
  22. I can see Doug adding a relief pitcher, even one that makes some decent money, but that's a big contract for a guy who would be your 7th inning guy at this second. Is it really?Putz makes less than what Counsell will for the next two years to hit .215 and chop one weak grounder after another to second base. I think I really like the idea of trying to add a real solid back of the pen arm. Not only would it help up a lot this year, but with Cordero expected to leave next season, bullpen would be a need next year. Getting a guy now, like a Putz, would lessen the blow. This is the big key,Cordero is going to want some big cash after this seasonand if we don't pay it,somebody else will. Not only would Putz give us an absolutely lethal 1-2-3 punch in the pen this year where we really look good for a playoff chance,Putz could be our closer the next two years much cheaper than Cordero.Check out his numbers last year and this year so far. 2006-- 2.30 ERA .092 WHIP 78 IP 104K 13BB .207 BAA This year so far 1.23 ERA and a .061 WHIP Now i don't expect any trade like this, but i'd be all for Doug exploring it.Given Putz's dominant numbers and very team friendly contract,i highly doubt Seattle would really be interested in trading the guy.I'd assume they would want more in return than Melvin would be willing to give up and Seattle would have every right in asking alot. At this moment,Putz is one of the best closers or relief pitchers in the game,it's just that few know this because he plays in Seattle. When you factor in the nice contract,i doubt highly Inman would be enough even if they were listening to offers.
  23. Time to shelve the little league 1st and 3rd double steal
