  1. I'd like to say yes, but does it really make a difference? All Melvin can do is bring up another crappy pitcher from AAA or trade for a low level starter. I kinda feel like the Cubs right now...there are so many things wrong one player isn't gonna mean a whole lot. Pitching, hitting, defense...we stink in all facets right now.
  2. He looks like he doesn't care and quite honestly, this team looks like they've given up right now. You can feel the frustration in the broadcast booth. Our starters are a joke, our bullpen is a joke, the defense stinks...this is as bad as it gets right now. I'm not trying to sound like it's the end of the world, but this bullpen isn't gonna just magically get better. As long as we have to stick with this pitching staff, we're gonna have trouble winning 2-3 games a week. Man I wish I didn't have tickets for tomorrow. I guess I'll go get my bobblehead and come home. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  3. That's pretty much what it all comes down to. The fact that Hendrickson and Eveland can dominate AAA and can't get anyone out in the big leagues is sickening.
  4. Just another day at the office for your Milwaukee Brewers. This is one of the worst pitching staffs in all my years of being a Brewer fan. We've had some really bad starting staffs and bad bullpens over the years, but never this bad in both categories. It's really a shame to think of all the excitement surrounding this year and at the rate we're going it's gonna be "same 'ole Brewers" once again,
  5. Will we ever see a pinch hitter other than Gabe Gross?
  6. Man Eveland sucks. I just got home and since I tivo'd the game I fast forwarded through the first four innings. I'll bet he hasn't pitched more than three 1-2-3 innings this year. Oh, and it looks like the Pirates have come back to planet earth. I guess that's what happens when you face major league pitching.
  7. I have IE and it takes about 30 seconds to load the fan forum page every time I come to the site...it's been this way for about a week and a half. It's realllly annoying.
  8. So the Pirates plant something to cause a delay, leaving Bush to stand out in the sun throwing warmup pitches and the next batter gets the first hit of the game for Pittsburgh....can you say conspiracy??? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  9. Can we just forfeit tomorrow and come back home to play Washington? I have officially lost what little hope I had for salvaging this series. 3-7 road trip after going 3-3 in the first 6...never in a million years did I expect that.
  10. Way to come through when we needed one Brady. This is so predictable. Pirates will get a couple more, Brewers will get a couple garbage runs in the ninth, 5-2 Pirates. Adios .500.
  11. At what point should I just turn off the tv and realize we're gonna get swept.
  12. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say if we don't win tonight we won't see the sunny side of .500 for awhile. Go gettum' Cappy!!!!
  13. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. It's one thing to lose to these bums, but it's another to get drilled 26-4 over two games. I thought last night might have been a fluke, but now I fully expect to lose the next two games. We could have Roger Clemens going for us tomorrow and they'd score 10. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
  14. I believe the score was 8-2 at the time. I don't care how potent our offense is, I have no trust in our bullpen to hold anyone down no matter what the score. Let's face it, we're not gonna win any games when our starter leaves in the fourth inning since that means the bullpen will get plenty of action.
  15. While I applaud the enthusiasm, put down the blue kool aid.
  16. At what point do we concede the division and root for the Cardinals to beat up on our divisional foes, or are we already at that point? We're currently 6 games back of StL...say they have a bad week and we have a good week and then we're 3 games back at the end of the week OR if they beat up on Houston and we beat up on Pitts/Wash then it gives us more seperation over a more common opponent in the standings. I guess I'm leaning more towards conceding the division.
  17. Well this one's not as tough to swallow after taking the first two of the series. Win three in Pittsburgh and it will be an outstanding road trip.
  18. Philly should have about 6 runs right now. But then again, so should we.
  19. Well at least we know we can try JDLR and Gonzalez in the rotation. Phew...at least he got out of it. What was the deal with Fielder's catch? Did he make it harder than it had to be?
  20. Nothing worse than waking up still excited about last night's win, getting ready to watch the game in a couple of hours and finding out it's not on tv. Now that the Brewers are competitive this better be the last year of this crap.
  21. That really was a joke of a call on Brady and I think the only reason it was even an issue is because of the catchers interference call in his previous AB. I'm sure a member of the Phillies was PO'ed with the questionable interference call (did anyone really see contact with the catcher's mitt?) and griped to the ump. The call on Brady was in essence a make up call. Anyone who thinks it was the correct call is only saying that because it made no difference in the game...if Brady had homered in that AB it would be a different story. But bottom line, we won and I'm ecstatic. I'll stand by my opinion that with a healthy Sheets and Ohka this is a playoff team. Yes, even with the crappy middle relief. Great little win road streak we've had and hopefully it continues.
  22. True but Capuano deserved to win so it all evens out. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. For the record, I think Yost is an idiot for putting Shouse in. I don't care what hand he throws with, he stinks.
