  1. It was pretty nice outside here today so I had the windows in my room open (no screens) while I was watching TV. Eventually I started to hear something rustling around and it caught my attention. A little lizard probably about 4 inches long got in my room through the window and couldn't get out. Well I had to do what I could to get him back in his habitat and the heck out of mine. The plan: I took a cup and tried to cover the guy up with it and then slide a piece of cardboard underneath so I could scoop him up and chuck him outside. Good intentions, bad delivery. I totally smacked the cup on my tile floor right on his leg, sheared it right off. Managed to throw his newly crippled self outside, but I still had a twitchy lizard leg sitting on my floor. I used a napkin to pick it up and when I did, I totally felt some kind of small electric shock coming from the leg, it was so weird. It zapped me.
  2. I thought it was hilarious right in the beginning when he told everyone he was engaged and they asked him if he told his mom. He said no, they all tell him to call her so he does. "Michael, you're not getting married." "Mom, you always say that!" And eventually he just hangs up the phone on her in the middle of the call. Classic Michael.
  3. That Sheffield jersey should be a hot seller.
  4. Believe it or not I did actually purchase a domain and I have Google Apps set up for it, so rather than having an @gmail address, it is my own domain yet still gmail.
  5. As long as you can do POP access with Hotmail, yes.
  6. That is easily set up through gmail as well. I have my main gmail account pull POP from my other email accounts, and it comes in as if it was sent straight to my main account. Gmail also has free POP and IMAP service so you can use external software if you really want.
  7. I did vote 5 for you, but turbo shrek has some serious upside.
  8. I can look it up online in Las Vegas, not sure if that is available in Wisconsin.
  9. I had a 100% travel job for 3 years. I did 31 states the first year including Florida 7 times, Texas 3 times, etc. I stopped counting after the first year. I nailed just about everything in the lower 48, also Canada and Mexico.
  10. I had a weird dream the other night. I was sitting in a class room and Heath Ledger was in the desk right next to me, and the class was watching one of his movies, but everyone knew he was dead so it was kind of awkward. Weird. No idea why that one happened.
  11. What's the story behind the name?
  12. Wireless won't slow you down unless you are really far away from the router. Wireless G has a theoretical limit of ~54000 kbps, well above your speeds and almost everyone else here.
  13. Speaking of Mifflin, I remember going to a party there a while back where people were throwing beer bottles out of windows at random people, cars were turned over, dumpsters ablaze, etc. No, it was not done to celebrate a sports victory, it was pretty much for no reason. Madison is not really all that tame.
  14. Rickie Weeks would be a Gold Glover by those standards.
  15. Not anymore http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I will accept bids though. Thanks for the heads up. Good old free market.
  16. I saw Ned Yost manage the Brewers.
  17. If you have other programs running that use bandwidth while you are running your test, you will not get an accurate speed rating. For example if you have any downloads running, any filesharing, any media streaming, (youtube, etc) you will want to close and/or stop those before running a speed test.
  18. 299/381/446 for an OF is not even worthy of a 3rd place vote. Really, .299/15/72 gets MVP votes?
  19. T1 is only 1.5 Mbps up/down. The upload is good, but the download speed doesn't cut it nowadays. The real plus with T1 is reliability. My service at home is terrible, I need to get cable in here. I'm getting 3.5 Mbps down on Embarq DSL. I was working at a huge data center in town yesterday, the office network there has a 100Mbps connection to the web. I was in heaven. That is really nothing though compared to the bandwidth that goes through that building, 800Gbps. Yes, you read that right. 800,000,000Kbps. http://www.switchnap.com/ - I was working at the SuperNAP - highest density data center in the world. The place takes more electricity than three of the mega-casinos on the strip combined.
  20. Man, those people went all out. Reminds me of Candy Cane Lane during Xmas.
  21. A decent low to mid-range place that I liked was the Prime Quarter. You pick out the meat you want and grill it yourself the way you want it. Or you can have them make it for you. http://www.primequarter.com/
  22. I'm a fan. It's a breath of fresh air.
  23. I live just off of Eastern Ave. The south part. Of Eastern. I feel your pain.
