  1. You need some blinker fluid. But really, what it sounds like you did is akin to washing your car and getting the radiator replaced when there was a problem with the engine itself. There is probably a good layer of dust buildup on the inside of the notebook that would not be cleaned out without opening it up, all the way to the motherboard and processor/heatsink assembly. Whether you are comfortable with doing something like this is totally up to you.
  2. A few years ago I worked on a large project at the Pfister, upgrading their wireless internet system for guests. I have seen a lot of creepy scary back areas of the hotel. Never a ghost though.
  3. Therefore his point is that you can't blame the umpires for a loss. Ever.
  4. Almost certainly a dust issue on the inside. Also, the vast majority of notebook pcs are designed to sit on a flat surface for maximum heat dispersion. The tips above about using flat surfaces under the notebook are highly recommended. Also, you can run a program called msconfig to modify your boot programs. Go to start, run, type msconfig and hit enter. The startup tab lists the programs that are set to run at boot. Modifying this list may improve your wait time, although you should be cognizant that these programs may be something you need to run.
  5. The one thing that sticks in my head about him... I believe it was a couple years ago when Duffy was a member of the Pirates. He hit a dinger off of Sheets, and the reaction shot of Sheets clearly showed him saying "Chris *bleep*ing Duffy." That's how I'll always remember him at least.
  6. Once again I am reminded of what Braun said to reporters after the sluggish start. Coincidence, or did he light the fire for the second year in a row?
  7. Probably not useful to bring resurrect a thread that hasn't been posted in for nearly a year.
  8. No. But if you want a free option with less frills, you can check out mint.com. It also syncs to bank accounts and such, and allows you to categorize spending and income, etc. It's pretty nice. A bonus is that it is online, so no matter what computer you are on anywhere in the world (with an internet connection) you can check it out. I wouldn't check it at a sketchy internet cafe, but that goes without saying.
  9. Could have said the same about Sheets up until 2004. After that...
  10. I swear by Quicken and have used it exclusively for years. Very easy to set up for syncing bank accounts/credit cards/investment accounts online, and it shows you clearly where your money is going.
  11. Whatever makes you 'Happy' I guess. As long as you can live with yourself.
  12. I always thought it was ginn-duhl
  13. I knew it. Mass Haas is a traitor! On-site pic of Mass: http://www.brewerfan.net/images/staffpix/jim_goulart.jpg Phillies video feed of today's game confirms Mass in Phillies garb: http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/1476/massw.png
  14. Awesome catch Happy. This just adds to your legend. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. I own the rights. They are up for sale to the highest bidder. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. That is really unfortunate to read Dhonks. If anything needs funding in times like these it's education.
  17. I guess I don't see why there are people who can't understand that injuries are a part of life and happen no matter how well prepared you are to avoid them. We didn't evolve playing baseball, and even if we did our bodies are somewhat frail by nature. Things happen. You've never had a freak minor injury doing day-to-day things? Day-to-day stuff for baseball players involves a lot more activity and risk of injury on a higher scale than everyday Joe.
  18. Vegas has a couple of things to do. I like it. A lot of people don't like the city for various reasons, but it can be a pretty decent place to live.
  19. There is a nice video of him fumbling over his words on youtube.
