  1. What's the scoop on Braun? Good hitter, poor fielder, good numbers, possible OF, questions regarding his ability to hit with wood.
  2. Essentially it's like trading draft picks, this year's Baseball Prospectus essay on the Yankees talks about how they did that so much in recent years. Granted, they used their picks somewhat poorly, but I agree with that conclusion that it is essentially trading picks. Also, if your team loses players, I have no problem getting comp picks. And that makes Theo Epstein smart. Amen, I sometimes throw around the "G"(enius) word with him, but I just woke up.
  3. I was thinking the exact thing, Brian. Enough of the "injury nexus be damned" attitude.
  4. Gotcha. Thanks again.
  5. That would be unreal, and all of BF.net would owe your wife a debt of gratitude.
  6. Troy Tulowitzki. Though I hope you're right abou Gordon falling, Toby. I'm going to switch my photo to him now that Clark gets much respect. Also, if it's Tulo I can look forward to numberous WOAH SOLVDD-esque threads with various misspellings.
  7. I'm really starting to think it's going to be Tulo. How well does he profile as a 3B, colby? I know you mention a possible move there in your bio of him, but how likely do you think that would be? If the Brewers di draft him, do you think it would be with that move in mind?
  8. "I wanted to give him one more day. With [Monday's] night game, he has a better chance of being in there," Torre said. That seems to mean to me that he will be in the lineup. I interpret it as saying that Torre gave him the day off yesterday so he could rest on Sunday and all day Monday before playing the night game. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I read it.
  9. How 'bout a little add on to the Brewers TV Crew drinking game. Drink (however many times) each time Daron and Bill rave about Jeter's defense. Also, do a multiplier for each time Daron says "Past a diving Jeter!". Just a thought.
  10. Just a little side note to what Bill said, Meyer was 25 years old and Braggs was 23, as is Weeks.
  11. Spivey's made the same amount of All-Star teams Jenkins has: 1. It's not like Jenkins is some great player that can't be sat. He's just an overpaid one that can't get sat.
  12. Man, I hope your right Toby. If you are. I'd like to fast forward.
  13. Please get a hit, Billy. Don't take the Bill Hall 2004 huge swing. Or at least dodge a wild pitch in the dirt or something. Wishful thinking. The one time you need him to have an AB like a grown-up and he does that.
  14. My usual props towards the West Virginia middle infield They are fun to watch. It's amazing how great of a hitter Hurricane is, I hope he does get promoted as aggressively as some were saying.
  15. The simple fact is that Jorge isn't doing his job. What exactly is his job? He gets jerked around so much in the pen that it's ridiculous.
  16. Hey, cool DLR still plays for the Brewers. Awesome!
  17. Man, Jenkins couldn't hit Gagne's change-up. Why was he hacking? Gagne couldn't find the zone, and Jenkins hacked away. He's an absolute lost cause, patience-wise, but for once couldn't he take a strike and work a count when necessary?
  18. You people would bash Yost if the team won 110 games. Sheets is their ace. You dont pull an ace in a 3-3 game in the 6th inning. Get a clue. He wasn't exactly "cruising". He was up in the zone all night, and there was no reason to throw back-to-back heaters to Drew - he's one of the best hitters in the league. It was a bad move. Wise could have easily come in and thrown two innings.
  19. I despise Ned Yost. On a happy note, they should find 100 bullpen innings for Wise.
  20. Jenkins is back!!!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
