  1. Casey is alright. He has the 6th highest VORP overall on the team(which was shocking to me), and will do for now. However, if we can find a better 3B great. i also have no problem trading him now, as what we are seeing from him is probably the best we ever will due to age.
  2. Anybody else watching this show? I love it. Colin Hanks is pretty good(he sounds ALOT like his father), and Bradley Whitford is hilarious. Hopefully it gets picked up for a second season. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradley_Whitford
  3. I was really hoping for a "and that" answer. Really tho, weeks is having a great year and hopefully will be able to keep it up for the rest of the year. However, i think he'll fall about 5 rbi short.
  4. Wow, seems like the rangers just blew away Jack Z. Depending on who the other three are, this could be huge for the Mariners.
  5. Barring a really, really hot start to the year and contending all year long, we are looking at 2.3 or even 2.1 million next year
  6. Wow, come on Witrado, i am not your biggest fan, but even i expected more than this from you. EDIT: Did he really suggest Hart for Bumgarner? Dear lord of baseball, if this has the smallest scrap of truth to it, make doug pull the trigger now. Of course, if San Fran is dumb enough to trade a great arm like Bum for Corey, the SF GM should be fired on the spot.
  7. I know this might not help you too much, but have you thought about umpiring? It doesn't pay a TON of money, but i do it in elkhorn as a side, usually make between $25-40 dollars a game(for 1.5 hours, not too bad). It would keep you involved in baseball, and also give you a little cash here and there.
  8. Geoff Jenkins use to get me free drinks because of this. I would often watch brewer games at bars, whenever he was up late in the game with two strikes and men on, i would turn to the guy next to me and say "bet you a drink the pitcher throws it low and in, and jenks swings." Sure, i lost a few, but i was probably batting .600 in those situations(which was much better than Geoff was).
  9. Grats to cain, hopefully he will get some playing time(maybe this means they are about to trade edmonds? NAH, probably not).
  10. Congrats Josh. Here's to hoping our boy gets alot of playing time!
  11. Second comment down had me dying. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gifhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  12. It really makes talking at the dinner table alot easier.
  13. Suppan was a wiley veteran, due to his high numbers of innings pitched in the past. Because of Cappy's injury, he has yet to achieve the title, so Macha doesn't trust him.
  14. First off, i don't care how well conditioned they are, these guys are gonna be SORE the next week or so. Here's the real question: is this great tennis, or two mediocre tennis players who just can't finish one another off?
  15. Meh, he has pitched 4 innings in 4 days. I'll be worried if he pitches two inning tomorrow, or pitches in the next three nights. As of now, i'm fine with it.
  16. Honestly, i can't think of anybody who be a better fit, unless Ozzie Guillen is fired after this year.
  17. Man, sure seems like hammonds knows what he is doing. I can't wait to see what moves he makes tomorrow.
  18. There must be somethin behind the scenes here. Just seems like odd timing.
  19. Sources say Utah will get an invite shortly.
  20. http://www.midwestsportsfans.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/dusty-baker-cincinnati-reds.jpg "Sounds like solid reasoning to me!"
  21. Well, the score was about what i was expecting, but for opposite teams. Good win boys.
  22. Well, at least i'll fall asleep before the angels get to see Wolf the second time around.
  23. I donno about that. During the presser with Delany, he mentioned how important it was that all teams are equal, which is a subtle reference to Texas. While i would LOVE to have Texas in the Big 10, i don't want them if it means they get an unequal share of the goods, thus hurting the rest of the conf. ND will come if the Tx schools go to the pac 10, causing the SEC/ACC to raid the Big East. I don't, however, see any scenario where both Tx and ND join the Big 10.
