  1. Oklahoma and Texas could still play every year in a non conf game. Still, i would LOVE to have texas in the Big Ten.
  2. I think this is a reason nobody is talking about KU, because they want K state to go with them(similar to Texas and Tech), and NOBODY wants K State.
  3. Parra vs. Suppan.....a battle royale for a roster spot. Winner stays, loser.....GOES HOME!!!! :-)i realize this was a joke, but DANG, you might have been onto something with this one.
  4. http://llenrock.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/party.gif I actually threw my fist up at work, and let out a victorious "YES!!!!!" two minutes ago when i read this at work. My boss came over to see what the hubub was all about, and when he saw, he did the exact same thing.
  5. I love my 160gb classic, so i would recommend that. However i am a huge audio nerd and for me personally, with all the smart phones in the world, i don't have a need for an iTouch.
  6. This thread needs it's own woahs solvedd style sub section. It's an instant classic.
  7. Not just a great coach, but a great teacher and humanitarian. Unlike alot of coaches nowadays(calipari), he actually CARED for the well being of his kids and wanted them to get an education. He will be sorely missed.
  8. Wow, we got a series on our hands now. I didn't think it would be a sweep, but i expected the hawks in 5. Still, Philly needs to win a road game at some point, and the final two periods seemed like Chicago finally played like they usually do.
  9. Just because he made alot doesn't mean he didn't spend it all. Look at Antoine Walker, he is millions in debt and he made over 110 mil.
  10. From a state as screwed up as Michigan, i would expect nothing less.
  11. Cameron has also spent the majority of the season on the DL, and according toa red sox blog could be injured again. If we are looking at this deal in a vacuum(only this year), i would agree that it is pretty much a wash. However, we control both Carlos and Escobar cheaply for many more years, and both have yet to hit their peak, whereas Cam is on the downside of his career, and Hardy appears to be done as a hitter.
  12. Sometimes I think Macha is just writing players names on ping pong balls and is randomly picking them for lineups. I hope Parra does well, but this seems to be a lateral movement as far as pitching quality goes.
  13. Ugh. Oh well. In all Honesty, i didn't see him get much playing time behind Casey and Mat. This is probably a great move for him, as he is from Ripon Ca(not too far west of Oakland). Best of luck to you Adam. But for the record, if suppan costs us any more players, i'm going to lay down in traffic.
  14. POTW. While i didn't expect this at all, i figured the contacts would help some(no proof one way or the other at this point, i guess) i am really glad he has turned it around. I disagree. While that is what the pirates are doing, we don't have a history of blowing the entire team up. I personally think this year for corey is going to be similar to Bill Hall circa 2006. This will most likely be his career year. If the brewers are out of it at the deadline, and someone comes knocking, i would love to see him traded for some pitching(however, chances are if he's traded, it will be in the offseason, knowing Doug.)
  15. I'm too drunk to find the drunk thread, and since this is on the main page of off topic, i shall post here. WOoooooooooooooooo.
  16. Except Keischnick is a better hitter. Ouch. That probably wouldn't hurt so much if it wasn't true.
  17. Because Samardzja is horrible. The kid played horrible all of last year, and has done nothing to justify being called back up this year.
  18. Yeah it was a sweet logo, kind of an updated version of the Braves "M" and the first Brewers "M" when they first came out with the hat. I guess I will just have to keep checking ebay and hope a 7 3/8 pops up on there sometime. If anyone else has a tip, let me know. Next time i head to janesville, i will check out the lids there. If they have one, i'll pick ya one up and mail it to ya.
  19. Lids(or hatworld) has em at the Janesville Mall(they have all the brewers hats iirc). I would assume if they have a Lids in your area, they would have them there too.
  20. Lemme put it to you this way(i used to work for the Brewers, and still have friends there). Get your expectations up as high as you can(seriously), cuz even then, this thing is going to BLOW YOU AWAY. It makes the current scoreboard look like a 13 inch black and white tv.
  21. Everyday that passes makes me more and more glad that Mark won the bid, and not Dan Gilbert. Mark is a treasure and hopefully he will remain a member of the Milwaukee community for decades to come.
  22. I think it is still very early to say that. Let's say the Brewers make a big trade and bring in a big name player(doubtful, but possible), any real extra talent could help keep this team around 2.8 mil or so.
