  1. My roommate is one of those people, he also hates the Redskins. Something about racist mascots/names................
  2. I agree with them underestimating the bucks, but you would think that would have changed after the Game 3 beatdown they got.
  3. Extra awesome when you realize 6 of those pitches were to the first batter.
  4. Hawkins? Should have just left Coffey in, his sinker would be better this inning anyways.
  5. The guy drinking the water is the best. I die everytime i see that.
  6. Are you talking percentage wise? I think if they can get a decent draft, it should all come together
  7. Well, since you asked: 1) NHL '94 dropped when I was in 6th grade. Roenick was sick. 2) Best uniforms in hockey. 3) Pat Foley. 4) Many former Badgers, from Chelios to Burish. 5) Wayne Campbell, Garth Algar and Glen, the manager of Mikita's Donuts. 6) Original Six team 7) Ed Belfour's mask 8) Standing and cheering at the top of your lungs during the national anthem. Every sports team should do this. I'm just happy that the franchise has been resurrected after years of neglect. Bill Wirtz was an awful owner. His son and the new team president have done an outstanding job marketing the team, getting people excited again, and (most importantly) showing the games on TV! While i personally don't have a problem with this, i know many, many vets who do.
  8. Nope, i am in the exact same boat(same year actually). Yes, they are like the Yankees of baseball NOW, but when we started watching them, they hadn't won a stanley cup since '55, only had 2 division titles since '37 and had never won a conference championship. Heck, the Red Wings consistently draft very well, and are always competitive and i will love em up until the day Wisconsin gets an NHL team.
  9. Brewers TV contract It appears as though the existing deal with FS Wisconsin runs through 2012. According to the article it is the lowest valued deal in MLB. Despite the fact that the market is the smallest in MLB my bet is that the Brewers have more total TV viewers than many other teams, ie Kansas City, Cleveland, etc. I believe that it was the radio deal that was just re-upped. That article was from 4 years ago. I am pretty certain they reupped the deal with FSNWi EDIT: Found it. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/44072747.html
  10. Those are really good seats, right down the 3rd base line, just beyond the infield.
  11. The $12 million is already wasted, it's sunken cost. If we can find a trading partner, do it. I'd love to see Stetter or Braddock back up.
  12. GlenFiddich is one of my favorites, as for Canadian Whiskey, I prefer VO myself.
  13. I have nothing but love for Tigers fans. I've been to many MLB stadiums as an opposing fan, and you guys by far treated me and mine the best. Sure, there was good natured ribbing, but nothing truly venomous spewed(of course, it was during the Verlander No hitter, so they were all in good moods). I hope ya have a great time and enjoy our city. Also, try to find the safehouse(it's a bar/restaurant), it's in downtown on front street(which is more of a side alley) and it's worth a visit and lots of fun.
  14. I really wish we still had Brantley. I still think he's gonna be a star. Laporta will be a solid everyday player, but nothing special.
  15. Isn't it about time he goes on the DL?
  16. Fielder, Mcgehee and Braun now pulled. Who wants to bet we still score 4 more?
  17. $15 mil/year sounds like a lot for either a 35 year old 1st baseman or a #3 starter. I'd peg Lee for something like 3/$24-27 and Lilly for something similar.I agree, but Ted Lilly put up really, really good numbers last year(3.10 era, 1.057 WHIP), and lee had 35 HRs, 101 RBI and an OPS of 972. Those are Numbers that deserve 15 mil a year, and at the very least, staying at the 13 mil a year. Unless they both have off years, there is no way they take a 30% cut in pay.
  18. They pay most of his salary, i'd take him in a heartbeat. He would make a great #2/3 for us. He'll rebound easy. EDIT: Looking at thier payroll for next year, you have to imagine if they resign Lee(all signs point to yes), he's gonna get around 15-16 million a year, Lilly is gonna want atleast 15/year, and Marmol should get a huge raise in arby, as will Soto. They are gonna be really, really, really tight on payroll over the next few years.
  19. If you have 6 people getting tuxes with them, you get a free tux, or $400 off a suit of your choosing. I went with them for my wedding(june) as well.
  20. Milwaukee's Metro is larger than both(huntsville at 396k), but Nashville is basically a push.
  21. Might not be his call. He is a minority owner, maybe he was just given a share of the ownership to be a face, and nothing more.
  22. We wouldn't get the cubs or the cards, as both have the natural rivals with KC and CWS that trumps that of us.
  23. Looks like he is out at least 4-6 weeks. That sucks, but would explain his horrid play. Get well soon Mike. http://sports.espn.go.com...lb/news/story?id=5118215
  24. My Guesses: Carlos Marmol Adam Wainwright(he falls under semi big, imo) Broxton Matt Cain
  25. Good for Jon. Hopefully he continues his success and gets the big call up sometime this season.
