I'm the exact opposite. I could care less how the cubs are doing(i guess that's because deep down i know this is the best they can play, and they still haven't passed us.) Don't worry about the cubs too much, they are falling back to earth as we speak.
So with the double header tomarrow, you let vargas go the full 9? I think at this point, you pretty much have to. No need to warm anybody up for 3 outs with an 8 run lead.
If avg was the best stat, you could easily compare the two using the same stat. That's why avg isn't the best way to judge players(not solely on it anyways).
Manny has been hit hard? This year in the majors the guy has a Whip of .857. Is it going to stay that way? No(although that is pretty much the same whip he had in Nashville this year), he has only pitched 2.1 innings so far. Talk about your small sample size. He might get beat up, he might not. But let's atleast give the guy double digit innings before we decide his fate.
There has got to be a backstory to this. And i really want to hear it. As for Michaels, he is the main reason why i listen to chicago sports radio. They never talk about the Brewers(or any milwaukee sport really), however they are entertaining atleast. Which is more than i can say for the big unit.
Yea, this trade really helps out pen out. If our starters can go 6 innings with a lead, we have a really good chance of holding it now. Before if Turnbow screwed up, we had to put in coco, now we have another option.
Anybody hear about this? I heard it on 1250 the other day. They will be playing at the Cell in March of 08. Tickets are pretty cheap($40-$10) I might check it out. Pretty cool to have indoor football back.
I love this game(is it me, or is it harder to hit a HR in little league?). As for getting around it, i donno, maybe anonymouse.org? I doubt it tho. Hit on top of the ball. that will cause it to be a grounder, and won't be an out.
