  1. shouse has pitched pretty well for the most part this year. If all of our RPs had his WHIP(1.11 coming into yesterday's game) and ERA(2.50), i i would be more than pleased.
  2. Tell me again which rule barry broke at the time he allegedly used?
  3. That sign should have never made it into the stadium in the first place. Ticket takers are supposed to check every sign before it makes it into the stadium. Somebody didn't do their job.
  4. Wow that stinks. I really like Carpenter, and hate to see him stay hurt like this.
  5. It's offical, the woot off has started.
  6. Well, IIRC, he still has a firm to run in LA. He is still at games on the weekends(not every one, but many). I always look down into the Owners seats to see if he is there. He often is, they just don't do cut aways to him now.
  7. You are correct, a normal woot is one per night, then when it sells out, it's done. A woot off is a constant stream of products for usually well over 24 hours(longest i can remember is around 72). So much stuff, so great. And if this is true, for the 5th straight time, the woot off starts on my 2 days off. That's a happy BB4L, but a sad AmEx.
  8. Sample size alert! Seriously, there are going to be those fans who jumped on in 2003(obviously that guy). Most of em are pretty decent people who actually know a ton about baseball in general. If you ever see an old cubs fan(60+, the thicker the glasses the better) start up a conversation with em. Those guys alone will show you not all of em are the no nothings that many my age are. Whenever i go to wrigley to see a Brewers game, i always try to talk to one of em. They have such interesting stories about watching players from the 40s and 50s and how they view the Cubs now and how they feel about how they are run. It will truly open your eyes.
  9. Sheets should have been a banker. Much easier choice.
  10. At the ticket windows at MP, they have had big signs in all the windows about it. Hopefully everybody knows by now.
  11. But if you give them money, you can make them go away. What a deal! Not to mention being able to ignore people who don't agree with you. I'm shocked Brian hasn't implemented this policy yet. I guess that wouldn't work here, we only have 8 posters. Too bad.
  12. How can you sell out of SRO tickets? Are they only allowed to sell a certain amount?
  13. Agreed. If we could get Lofton plust Otsuka for the deal that Fear the Chorizo suggested, i would be very pleased with melvin.
  14. I'm pretty sure there is no AC, only an air circulation system. And i agree that it can get WAYYYYYYY too hot when they close it up on a humid night.
  15. I would sell it. I have too much college debt(and i'm not even finished yet) to do anything else. Unless Bonds gave me the Bat, Jersey, Hat and batting gloves he had(all auto'd) on while hitting the HR, i wouldn't even concider anything else.
  16. I read some of their posts over there every once in a while. For the most part, they are good people over there, a few of em seem to look down on the brewers because of our past(98navigator, *cough*) although a cubs fan looking down on anybody due to a losing history is rather hilarious IMO. All in all tho, about 99% of em are good people who are just rooting for thier own team. Nothin wrong with that at all. Although i do agree with the monster sig pics when most of them only avg one sentence per post. That's just kinda silly.
  17. Bucks, i was at that game, and i have ticket sfor this saturday. WIll it be the biggest ever? It has a chance, but in all honesty, i think it will be somewhere around 44k.
  18. Had lots of fun tonight. I know it's early, but braun seems a shoe in for ROY.
  19. Sweet. Glad to see him on the team. Good luck manny!
  20. Taking my Girlfriend(8-0), hopefully we win. Should be a good one, never heard of Owings before tho. Come on Bush, keep up the good work man!
  21. Was it $155 each for Parra and Safarte? If it was total, that is an absolute steal if you can get them signed.
  22. Dang it, i just find this thread now and all the fun has already been deleted. Ah well, i am sure there will be more.
  23. Come on boys, let's win this series. I need some mojo goin into tomarrow's game.
  24. Honestly, this really should go into the game thread, as it is only about his last proformance. However i do agree with you that this was his best game yet.
