Sure brewtank. The numbers correspond to their fielding positions. They are usually used in scoring the game. For example, you may have heard the term E-6 quite a bit this year...that's an error on the SS. Pitcher = 1, C = 2, 1B = 3, 2B = 4, 3B = 5, SS = 6, LF = 7, CF = 8 & RF = 9.

We need to kick these guys while they're down. Leake is the kind of pitcher that gives us trouble, but they showed last night that their pen is seriously overworked. If we can work his pitch count and get him out early, we could rock their pen. I'd like to see Counsell in for Casey today for that reason...work some counts and give Casey a blow, he could use a day off anyway. Bat Nyjer 2nd and put Hart 5th, Luc 6th. Just my thought for the day. The Reds remind me a little of the 2010 Brewers...they have two major superstars carrying the team and score a ton of runs, but the starting pitching is faltering and is causing the bullpen to suffer. They do have a better defense though which helps them, but if the pitching doesn't turn they could be in real trouble.

Casey still does a nice job of hitting the opposite way with some power...I guess that's what has me optimistic he can turn it around. Unlike the hopelessness of the guy to his left.

This game is 2-1 Reds if played on the west coast. GABP makes Miller Park look like Petco. EDIT: I'll retract that...Lucroy's shot probably makes it out...no way Corey's does.

I don't think we can tell if he's out of gas or not based on his limited amount of play. RR must think he's done given how obvious it should be that he plays more over Betancourt. I'd rather see him platoon with Yuni, but if they aren't going to use him, they probably should move on. -
This was going to be the toughest matchup of the series. Narvy has been off and Wood has our number. Greinke and Marcum the next two days...things will get better. Just need to kick these Reds pitchers while they're down.

12-15...I sure hope I'm wrong. Witnessing the '08 Boston Massacre in person has scarred my view of our ability to make it through interleague unscathed. I also think the Cards cool off a little so we'll be within 5 games at the end of the month.
