Counsell hasn't had much of a chance. Not sure he looks much different than last year...which would be an upgrade over Yuni. -
Arrgh...let a few chances get away, but boy they do have some fight these days. Sure feel good about that lineup if we see a Plush/Gomez platoon. A SS away from paradise!
-
Jeez Gomez...got lucky there
-
Dude has got some wheels
-
How bad is Betancourt that he has us wishing for Kotsay.
-
Betancourt vs. Wilson...that has 3 pitch strikeout on 3 out of the zone written all over it.
-
So do we blame Doug Melvin for having a SS so bad coming up next that we make such obvious baserunning blunders?
-
Why send him...my goodness, more baserunning crapfest.
-
Nice job Casey!
-
Braun is at a whole new level this year.
-
Now we've got 2 more innings of the freak followed by Wilson...uggh. This one sure got away quick.

Nyjer's role going forward

They probably won't go straight platoon, but 50/50 would be a big improvement. The bigger impediment will be RRR's Kotsay love...he needs to be firmly planted on the bench, but I doubt that happens. -
Todd Coffey signs with Nationals

For someone who normally cringes when the fans boo a former player...that was a real nice touch all the way around for the Brewers & fans. -
6 in a row...that's half a Webb
-
Ax had to throw some extra pitches after his 3rd K too.
-
Little quick on the fireworks there, hope that doesn't cost us
-
I thought they may be resting Loe since he got warm last night, but maybe Axe is the one that needs the rest.
-
True, it was a very gritty 0-4.
-
Yay! Counsell starting. Figured Kotsay would be in there...can't we just put Lucory ahead of him? Splitting up the lefties I guess. Weeks 4 Hart 9 Braun 7 Fielder 3 McGehee 5 Kotsay 8 Lucroy 2 Counsell 6 Greinke 1
-
Kudos as well to pretendastronaut...these threads rock! How different is it to have a winning streak going...then have Greinke and Marcum up next. What a difference a year makes. One vent today...anyone else notice the Padres accommodating the Classies by not only losing the first two games of the series, but playing an afternoon game today? Make our guys get in at 6AM, but Pujols and the boys will be home in time to do a little drunk driving and deliver some lectures on how the game should be played.
-
Was just thinking about that willingham game...c'mon Axe...finish him
-
Boggs was coming full steam, but Ramos dropped it before he hit him. He should have been out by 3 full steps.
-
Wow!!! Lucroy, Boggs...mancrush!!'
-
Rickie!!! How is Hart going to hit one out without Rickie on base?!?
-
Why Counsell didn't start tonight is beyond me.
