Maybe if Molina were a Brewer I'd feel different...and I have no insight into him either...but rational or irrational and just from watching...to me he is Public enemy #1. That spitting on the umpire meltdown in Milwaukee, the neck tat (of course Prince had one too, but I love that guy!) and just being a Cardinal in every smug, arrogant and holier than thou sense that word defines, makes me completely despise the guy...but I do acknowledge he is one heckuva player. -
That's just asking for bad karma dude. someone delete that post before we are struck down. it might've happened already but i dont want to take any chances. Especially since we're about to get swept by the Philadelphia Over-50 Wooden Bat League All Star team.

Brewers go 12-13...hope that's light. They need to have a decent lead heading into a brutal August. NL 2-1 in a snoozefest. -
This is a weekend the Brewers could really put some distance between themselves and the Cards. Dodgers have their aces lined up and the Cards just lost with theirs. Brewers have theirs lined up vs. struggling Rocks.

He stays healthy he could get 3,000. How hilarious would it be to see all the Hall of Famers touching his head when he's up on stage giving his speech. -
No reason to mess with success with Scoots...he'll have plenty of time to work on hitting LHP in 2015. Keep him fresh this year too so he doesn't fall off like Segura did/has.

The Number One Flaw With Replay

Maybe there could be tweaks with the replay, but overall I love it. I'm with Dead...the less the umpires are involved, the better. I would replace all of them with robots and pitch f/x if possible. The big complaint seems to be the time it takes, but when you take out all the idiot manager/umpire arguments over calls, it probably works out even...and now they get the call right (or at least more of the time). Anything that gets the Phil Cuzzi's of the world as far away from interfering with the results of an actual MLB game can only make it better. -
Coming into the year, I viewed the Crew as a .500 team with upside. No doubt we've seen some of that upside. The starters have been solid, the pen got on an early season roll and has been steady since and the bats have woken up recently. No reason they can't play at least at a .500 pace the rest of the year, which already gets them to 89 wins and probably a playoff spot. They don't have to give some of their previous good fortune back. I do worry about the depth, but the closer we get to the trading deadline it's less of an issue as they should be able to add a piece or two. As long as they don't lose a key piece like Gomez or Lucroy, they are probably ok. I also think they are playing over their ski tips. This team has been fortunate. Look at the Rockies series...that was some luck in sweeping them. They've also had some close wins versus the Pirates, 5-0 in one run games and 7-0 in 2 runs or less...If they are 7-6 instead of 10-3 versus the Pirates, this division looks much different.

Just noticed the next off day lines up with a Marco start, followed by an off day after a 2 game series. Might make sense for Marco to skip a start after his next one. -
He's not really like Parra. Some viewed Manny as having 2-3 starter type stuff. Estrada has always been a back of the rotation guy. The positive is he's been better than most other teams fifth starters. As long as he's our fifth, the Brewers should be ok. The HRs though may be getting to be too much though with other viable options in the organization.

The Weeks hatred on this site is just irrational. That last play was a great play that was one step away from completing the double play. Great play by Segura and Rickie.

Braun could be having one of his best seasons, we really don't know what he's dealing with. For him to be hurt, and yet make some substantial adjustments to still OPS around 900, that's quite impressive. It also makes him have some ugly ABs, but it's impressive how productive he is while battling injuries.

It couldn't have been the price tag that backed them off of Morales. Couldn't play first, happy with what they have or have something else up their sleeve.

Garza has a different demeanor on the mound tonight. Very in control and loose.

CF made bad throw to home on Lucroy single, allowed him to go to second. Segura was going to score easily so it was dumb...cost them a run on Gomez single. Bill and Brian mentioned Gomez ball could have been double play if runner was on first instead of second.

He's been our best pitcher for the last 1 1/3 seasons. He should get the game one start in the playoffs if they make it. Incredibly efficient and effective pitcher. The drawback has always been the draft pick they gave up...a high price considering the state of their farm system. I figure Wang is the other half of the deal to make up for that. When I just consider carrying him the price they had to pay for Lohse, it all seems to balance out in my head.
