  1. I still can't believe we got the sweep. The fans showed up and gave the team a great atmosphere. So much good momentum going right now. Go Crew!
  2. That is pretty cool and very exciting. I hope Miso bounces back and has a great outing tonight. Not that the last one was terrible, it was close to being good.
  3. I'm late to the prediction but I'll guess the remaining games. Currently 3-3 I believe Remaining games I'll go 8-10 for a grand total of 11-13. I hope I'm wrong on this one!
  4. I was pretty worried about this month going in. The crew was playing some good baseball.
  5. I'll go 15-11 but there is a stretch where it could get ugly. Hoping they stay hot for a while!
  6. Congrats wiguy94 and ErnieRilesBrianGiles! Yes I didn't think we'd end in the positive this month. Stay hot!
  7. Back to Back walk offs and a sweep! I'm here for it!
  8. That sweep will hopefully get them cooking here in June. Nice to see. Another walk off!
  9. 16-15 is the correct answer. Pitch League, you almost nailed it with your rain out prediction putting you at 16! But you're disqualified for giving two answers. 🤣 May prediction thread is up. We need more guesses for May, people!
  10. I don't know the last time I've predicted a losing record? Maybe I did the first month last year? I'm going 13-15. I definitely won't repeat this in the Optimism Thread. Go Crew!
  11. I said to my family the last two days, "we are so lucky to be able to watch this kid play." I also love his love for the game. He seems to always be having fun out there!
  12. 17 runs! That was really fun to watch last night!
  13. Well said and that's how I feel. We don't really know right now. Yes it's a lot to give up, but that's the way it goes with pitchers that are ready to go and controllable. So all we can do is wait and see and cheer this kid on. Most of the time on this site, we value our prospects more than most GMs out there. And we love draft picks. So most trades look bad through our brew tinted glasses. As for the worry about our current pitchers on the IL having some bad news coming, that could be true. It could also be that we don't currently have depth and need it badly. It will never be an issue to have too much pitching! So hopefully those guys all come back, but there will be hiccups, and it will be nice to have depth like Priester.
  14. The early season no Brewer game withdrawal was real for me yesterday! Excited to have them back at it and hopefully mashing in the Sunshine State.
  15. It’s that time of year to get your monthly record predictions in! A long tradition on this site. We will check back at the end of the month to see how you did. NYY 3 KC 3 CIN 4 COL 3 AZ 3 DET 3 ATH 3 SF 4 STL 3 CWS 2 31 games 18-13 is my guess. Boy that seems very optimistic for my usual self. Hope I’m right!
  16. I'm going 88 for this group. It's going to be an interesting season but I do think starting pitching will have a lot of guys in and out of the rotation.
  17. I keep swinging back and forth on this. Initially I thought, this might be the guy that could make a difference for us. As I thought on it more I was worried about his production and the cost to get him so I started thinking this isn't the right move. Now I do think we should go after him. Not a 1st and 3rd, but maybe slightly overpay. After Love brought up a little frustration with WRs not getting open, I started worrying about our guys for the first time. I do think we need a weapon at WR that can be a go to in tough situations. Also bringing a leader in for this group of pass catchers could give them a boost. I think we should make a strong push to get DK......final answer???? 😜
  18. I think Jaire and Watson are both too risky. Never healthy. That said, Watson was our only difference maker for at WR IMO. Not that he was great, but he did change things a lot when he was on the field. I definitely wouldn't pursue Hill. I think he will fall off quickly as he starts to lose speed. Godwin doesn't seem like the type of WR to bring in. Higgins is interesting but he also seems to be banged up a lot. I could be wrong on that but that's what it seems like. So I have no idea what to do at WR but I think you guys are right who say we need a veteran presence.
  19. I came here to say I too think we need to figure out how to get a very good WR added to the roster. I think Reed has shown a lot, but I'm not convinced he can be a game changer type. I do like the mix of WRs we have, but I think we need someone who can put the team on his back in crunch time. Someone who can find a way to get open when Love needs a big play. I think Love did a good job this year. He looks so good once he gets in a rhythm. I'm not sure who is to blame more, WRs or him, when they get in these funks. Obviously there was talk about our WRs not getting open for stretches (a few weeks ago) so it's made me think about that more. The team is close but we are still missing a few key elements. And yes we absolutely have to nail our first round picks!
  20. Well said my friend. October baseball, it's hard to explain to a non baseball fan. Every pitch, which seems like a minor part of the game to an outsider, can be excruciating. I recently watched the 30 for 30 on the 86 Mets, which is a three part series. It was fantastic and left me with one of my now favorite baseball quotes of all time. I'll leave it here for all of us to remember as we watch the Brewers in October. "Baseball does this sometimes. It consumes you and then you realize that strange and extraordinary things are happening. In some ways it will seem inevitible in the end but seem impossible while they are happening."
  21. I'm really excited about this postseason. I can't wait for it to start. Hanging on every pitch!
  22. Who do you guys want to play?
  23. Nice work Pitch League!
  24. I'll go 13 and 15. I hope they can get it rolling though!
