  1. Heh that lineup is pretty sweet considering the ages.
  2. Ump called a questionable but not terrible strike 3 on Jenkins, he turned and said something to ump and then as he walked away he said something else. Ump Kicked him out of game and Yost came up and threw some F-bombs and got kicked out too.
  3. I agree, I just was commenting on the person who said Bush and Vargas have no trade value.
  4. If the Brewers had a fire sale on Bush at least half the teams in baseball would show interest because of his past success.
  5. Somebody would take a chance on Vargas' ERA at this point almost for sure, we'd just have to accept minor league talent in return.
  6. I think Bush has been an incredibe bad luck pitcher this year. I also think that at this point his confidence is shaken and its making things worse. In my fantasy league I have stopped trying to buy low because I am simply not confident he'll get it together.
  7. Makes that terrible missed strike 3 even worse now, I'm officially protesting this game!
  8. It was a 100% no doubt strike, bat went at least half a foot past the plate.
  9. brewcrewkid14, the problem is Gonzalez isn't a pull hitter, the team has done a bad job scouting by putting on the shift. Yep he is, he struck out Bard and the ump completely blew the call, that check swing wasn't even close it was a 100% no doubt K. Should have been out #3 before the crushin russian ever got up.
  10. That was strike 3 without any doubt on the check swing and he ends up walking him instead, I bet it hurts us. edit : yep, horrible call by home plate ump costs us 4 runs and the game.
  11. Blame that hit on the managers, Adrian is not a pull hitter, you cannot put that shift on him or he'll just kill you. Without the shift thats a double play.
  12. Bush got lucky with that pitch.. Astros down 4-1, Cubs down 3-0. I still say Bush has pitched better than Vargas this year, Vargas has had everything bounce his way and nothing has bounced Bush's way and both have pitched like a #4 or #5 overall.
  13. We must have 2 of the worst throwing catchers in the NL. There are plenty of noddle arms in the AL playing for their bats but I think Miller throws even worse than Estrada at this point. Of course Giles was out there.
  14. I disagree with the statement earlier, If you work the count on Maddux he'll throw balls going for the corner and he'll work his way out of the game after 6 since he only has a 90-100 pitch count. When you swing at the early pitches you are playing right into his hands and you let him go deep into the game.
  15. We won't have the best lineup we can put out there until they start to play Hart. Other than that Miller instead of Estrada is only thing wrong with tonights lineup and I have no problem with picking when Miller plays based on batter vs pitcher matchups.
  16. Classic example of 'luck' in the game of baseball. The majority of the time when Fielder hits a ball that hard its 2 on with 0 outs but since the Brewers are running bad the ball is right at someone.
  17. Gonzalez can hit to left with good power, not really sure why they put the shift on against him.
  18. Doh, so close for Weeks. Game of inches and all that, Hall an inch away from making this 0-1 and Weeks an inch or two from making it 2-2.
  19. Hall is a couple good games away from what I'd expect out of him offensively. The defense has been erratic but everyone expected that. It really surprises me how much these guys are bringing up Gwynn not being in the lineup, he shouldn't be a starter so who cares if he isn't in the lineup. I hope we haven't come to the point where we expect him there unless they really thought they'd play him just because his dad played here.
  20. That ball was in the air way too long to not be caught by someone.
  21. Gross = Hart > Gwynn vs righties, so don't really have a big problem with Gross in there.
  22. I really wish this team would go back to working the count instead of swinging at those first pitches all the time.
  23. nm, fangraphs seems to be off on him for some reason.
  24. Gwynn isn't on fire, Gwynn had one hot week. He's 5 for his last 23 with 1 double and no walks, thats just terrible. His hot streak was 5 days where he went a combined 6/13 with 2 BB's. Hart had a .825 OPS before he hurt his wrist and deserves a chance to start on this team. Two weeks from now when Gwynn is back down to a .680 OPS we better recall Hart if he does gets sent down and fix the mistake they are making.
  25. Hart needs to start full time, the way we are handling him is really starting to annoy me. Gwynn gets a few hits find holes and suddenly we are playing an inferior player. Either Hart is hurt and should be DL'd or he's healthy and should be in that lineup every single day.
