  1. More of my pictures here
  2. Have a few of my pictures up on my blog Go here
  3. Being at the game today was seriously one of the best experiences of my life. The atmosphere was crazy, the fans were all on the edges of their seats and it was crazy to sit and watch the end of the Mets game with 25,000 or so of my closest friends. The game ended before 3:30 and I didn't get home (on the East Side) until 6 pm. I mentioned this in another thread, but I literally took 600 pictures tonight. I didn't want to miss anything and I don't want to forget it. It was so amazing to watch the team celebrate on the field for literal hours after they had originally celebrated in the clubhouse. It would seem like the guys were tuckering out and suddenly someone new would be spraying beer and champagne. I have a new love/respect for Seth McClung who looked the most like a kid in a candy store. He went down both sides of the stands throwing high fives and generally sharing the whole thing with the fans. He specifically thanked every We bought tickets to this game on the first day single game tickets were available because we got all kinds of cool stuff after the last game last season - batting gloves and the like. We didn't walk away with anything extra but confetti in our pockets, but it was so much more fantastic. No matter what happens now, today can never be taken away from me and I can't imagine what can/will top this.
  4. I literally took just less than 600 pictures at today's game. It's obviously taking a while to upload them to a website. Eventually I'll pare them down and edit/crop them. But it's too cool right now, so I'm not deleting anything.
  5. I was at the game Thursday night and every since I've been trying to understand why it just didn't have the nail-biting crazy adrenaline fan expereince as a few other games I've seen THIS YEAR. That was by far the biggest game in terms of big plays and big outcome, and yet, I was more on the edge of my seat during the Muscle's pinch hit homerun game that we lost in extras to the Twins and the Cards game in April (I think) in which Isringhausen blew the save and we won in the bottom of the ninth. Both Gagne and Isringhausen lost their closer roles in the next day or so. How is that possible? How could a walk-off grand slam in the final week of the season to keep us in playoff contention not have the same feeling? I'm still trying to understand.
  6. The email the booth is through CarSoup.com. You can test the booth, but I don't remember the short code. It's 99 something. Watch the game for that. Otherwise, FSN WI has a MySpace page and both others on here and I have received answers to questions sent that way. Trenni usually does them, but I would think if you specify, you should be able to get Bill. My guess is that Trenni's social media savvy and Bill and Brian are not, so she's the "pointman" on that.
  7. Stopped around and called around and no one near me had them. One of the stores I called said to hold on to your coupon because he said the Journal will be doing something to make sure everyone gets one.
  8. I was reading this thread and deciding which song I would put down when "Summer's Gone" by Gaelic Storm came up and that seemed appropriate. The imminent end of baseball means the cold and snow are not far off. I'm excited we're talking October baseball, but it will be a long off-season.
  9. I'm also looking for 2. I'll take anywhere in the stadium. I'll take any game. I'll take short notice. I'm willing to do a lot to get to a game, so let me know.
  10. There's a thread on this in Trading Post, too... I already had tickets, but tried for someone else here at work. She got through and got Terrace Box 437, Row 2. God, I just have nothing but respect for Gagne, especially after something like this. The guy has been the number one most booed and harassed Brewer this season and his quote just says it all. He could be sitting back, raking in his $10 mil and ticking off the days til he's out of here. Between this and the $25/Brewers strikeout, I couldn't have more respect for what a class act he is. It makes me happy to know that guys like Gagne , Suppan and Cameron are the veterans in our clubhouse teaching our younger guys what it means to be a responsible community member. I just really take pride in the fact that we don't have any punks on our team - from top to bottom, I'm proud to be a fan of such a classy organization.
  11. My local Pick N Save seems to have everyone left, I'll check there in the morning for you.
  12. I don't think you can underestimate the impact the slide had on the morale of fans. People sold of their tickets for this week left and right, which is a shame because I think it will mean a lot more Cubs fans in this last series than it might have been. People got really disgusted and there was a general putting off of the Brewers/baseball season and going headfirst into the football season. People were willing to stick with the Crew and postpone their football madness, but when the September slide came, they were very quick to jump ship. As for attendance, I've got a pair of tickets to tonight's game that I'm selling for like half price and I can't find any takers - I feel like I couldn't give them away and that's probably an indicator of how many people are actually going to be there.
  13. My brother got a signed Favre jersey last year that has the 422 TD inscription and there were only 422 signed. He took it to get framed and with UV glass and the whole kit and kaboodle, they wanted to charge upwards of $500. Custom framing is NEVER cheap. The framing issue I've had the most problems with is the Prince ESPN the Mag from last season. There was a 2-page spread on the Inside where you have to turn the mag and he's standing with the Sausages peering out from behind him. ESPN the Mag is larger than standard size and then you make it a double spread - I can't find a frame to use. Stupid odd-sized magazine.
  14. Hawing, they must be team issued compression shorts or something. Bill's got them on in this shot (sorry, can't get the image to load in here) http://www.jsonline.com/s...tid=1553&PageNumber=0
  15. His numbers over the past 10 days or so are crazy: .416/.500/1.000
  16. Yeah, I saw a bit more of Prince than I'd want to!!! Also, love when I can hear my neighbors cheering at the game! Only on the East Side, where the houses are on top of each other and the college kids are drunk!
  17. I have two extras on Thursday night in Section 202, row 2. Face is $18 each. Looking for about $30. I can meet you Wednesday night. I'll be on the West side and live on the East side, so I can meet pretty much anywhere in the greater Milwaukee area. EDIT: Just looking to get rid of these. Make an offer. $20 for the pair? A bobblehead? Let me know what you have. I don't want the tickets to go to waste. They're great seats, everyone in attendance gets a voucher for a ticket for next season and a 2009 schedule magnet, plus all the drawings: GRAND PRIZE #1 - All the Best Digital Phone, Road Runner Internet and Cable Package for One Year, courtesy of Time Warner Cable GRAND PRIZE #2 - Mexico Vacation for Two - Three-night trip for two adults (21 years or older) to Riu Playacar in Riveria Maya, Mexico, compliments of Apple Vacations and Riu Playacar GRAND PRIZE #3 - Spring Training Getaway (winner must be 21 years or older) to see your 2009 Milwaukee Brewers. Airfare, hotel, and game tickets to Spring Training in Maryvale, AZ, courtesy of the Milwaukee Brewers GRAND PRIZE #4 - Florida Vacation for Two - Seven-night trip for two adults (25 years or older) and airfare to Orlando, FL, courtesy of Sundance Vacations GRAND PRIZE #5 - 2009 Chevrolet Malibu, compliments of your local Chevy dealers
  18. I'm ashamed. Literally embarrassed and ashamed.
  19. This is literally the third game in the month of September where we have RISP and needed to score in the bottom of the 9th/extra innings and have sent Counsell and Kendall up and they've failed to produce. Is it really so hard to figure out that it's a bad move and we need to pinch there?
  20. How on God's green earth do we not score there. It's just unfathomable.
  21. Not dead, but Gamel is in Milwaukee, injured.
