Link Report for Sat. 5/29 -- Kentrail Davis goes down again
pete replied to Jim Goulart's topic in Brewers Minor League Talk
Bonus point for the bete noire usage. Is the DSL boxscore somewhere? Am I missing it on the DSL Brewers page? -
I'm not sure I would call Will Carroll a hack, but he seems like a "poser" to me. Most people think he has qualified medical opinions. I think Kevin Goldstein is way overrated though. I'd put more stock in your opinion than his. He's got some videos on Youtube for people who want to get more of an idea of who he is.

Gord Ash Audio on the Prospects -- Your Thoughts?
pete replied to Jim Goulart's topic in Brewers Minor League Talk
What is the source of the statement that Gamel was shopped last year? Is that inside information? -
Did anyone listen to the Nashville game? I'm curious how well Loe pitched.
-
The thing about Gamel's service time is the weakest argument against Macha I have heard. Its almost unsupportable. I don't think the idea that Escobar is being benched for mini-slumps has much to support it either, but I don't think it matters whether it is true or not. Complaining about Parra being used is over the top. The guy has had an unbelievable amount of chances. He still has opportunities. Its likely Macha who is asking for more prospects and is willing to play them. Hell, they were talking about Rivas. I doubt that was Melvin's initiative. If you want a criticism, how about leaving Bush in the rotation. What a nightmare he created.

I wish there were a way to rec or give a thumbs up to posts Geezy.

Bill was right about that first pitch fastball. I'm not sure I agree about not walking Thome.
-
Minnesotans a quiet bunch.
-
Morneau again...
-
Easy, peezy...

Here is what McCalvy wrote: Why aren't the Brewers bringing up a starter from Nashville? Logistics. With a 1 p.m. CT game on Sunday and the Triple-A club in Fresno, Calif., no flights were available that would get a pitcher to Minneapolis in time. The Brewers also considered a promotion for Double-A Huntsville's Amaury Rivas, who already is on the 40-man roster, but again travel issues blocked the move.
-
We almost saw Rivas today or whoever was on schedule in Nashville, at least according to McCalvy on his blog.
-
Is that Let's Go Brewers I hear?
-
Hey Brewers' pitchers haven't gotten that outside strike...
-
Harris disoriented - walks toward the wrong dugout.
-
I third the opinion on Gomez. Lots of criticism of him over at Twins forums/blogs and not just his bat flipping ways. His stat line isn't bad and I love the speed and arm in center.
-
When they come to town, if Morneau is still raking, IBB him.
-
Even stranger, we have the lead.
-
Lucroy isn't Gamel.
-
Yo, Ryan this is tailor made for awesomeness. Commence.
-
Corey, my health... please.
-
I almost think an IBB here would be a good idea.
-
Is that the Tulo chant or did the Rockies rip it off from someone else?
-
Second pitch was a strike there Blue.
-
Gah, Mauer and Morneau again. I think they're skipping places in line.
