  1. I'd guess Lucroy will play tomorrow. I read on the Rangers website that Ron Washington plans on playing Vlady for 2 games in the upcoming series so that could be entertaining.
  2. Augie tells some pretty funny stories about Leland on the radio.
  3. Every Cubs game I see, Byrd is diving on the ground and sprinting around. When does he blow out a wheel or something?
  4. BA and Rock getting Ozzie's quote wrong. Its rats as big as pigs.
  5. Definitely helps. Nice that Byrd was right there and couldn't field it.
  6. The article on the MLB site about Wolf seemed like a repeat again of how he needs to turn it around. They can recycle that once again next time. I thought Wolf would be a middle of the rotation guy. Most of the criticism outside of the fanbase here was that he was a lock to get injured which I don't think is true. Now, I wouldn't mind not seeing him for a few starts. What the hey-ell is the problem.
  7. I'm excited. I'm probably too optimistic about a lot of prospects though. Its pretty remarkable that he was drafted in the 2nd round by the Red Sox and that he was one of the top or the top 1st base prospect in the draft. Here's an interesting story about him and the Red Sox.
  8. At what point does it become a logistical problem with too many pitchers?
  9. It probably isn't an unprecedented move to have the same pitcher start four consecutive postseason games, but it certainly would be considered rare in this day and age of high school baseball. It's a luxury Jesuit has with its senior ace, a player Warren described as the "ultimate competitor." How spaced out are these games typically? This sounds kind of crazy.
  10. I don't know if you're wrong, but you sound as if you've got some inside information. You almost sound as if you're a disgruntled long time employee of the Brewers. Is the projection yours? That quote, no matter how many times you post it, doesn't say anything about his ability to play SS. Imagining that he's stroking his ego while telling him that he's not that good is a huuuuuuge leap.
  11. Whose projections? And no, the quote doesn't say that.
  12. They might also want Gennett to be able to play both. Again, perhaps its true but the quote doesn't say they don't believe in him as a SS.
  13. Parra pitches with some control and they put up some offense against the latest cocky Cardinal, Garcia - crazy talk?
  14. I think I recall Garth Iorg saying Gennet could play SS. This is the quote from the interview: I've always played both positions. But (the coaches) brought me into the office and were talking to me and saying how, for my well-being and my career, I could probably get to the big leagues faster as a second baseman. That's not the same thing as saying they don't believe in him as a SS.
  15. A third of the season over, I think its safe to assume despite the closeness of their OPSs, Matt Holiday and David Freese aren't similar hitters. An XBH with 2 on or 3 on wouldn't have made a difference.
