  1. LOL at Span with his hand in the air. Get ready for the celebration Denard.
  2. You realize we would be leading the game now had Macha had Weeks bunt there I hope. You realize you'll lose more games than you win by bunting outside of a few specific situations.
  3. They brought up a guy because the pen was toasty. That doesn't mean that he was his tandem starter. I actually wouldn't mind that. Its pretty debatable that Macha has gone through pitchers needlessly. There are a lot of people who complain the opposite. If anything be ready for the next guy to use more pitchers and in a less logical fashion.
  4. Man Kottaras has been a nice surprise. One thing Melvin does well is waiver wire hunting. Rickie Weeks up. Redemption, pop-up or GIDP?
  5. Brewers coming back and Hallion calls a ball up and out a strike.
  6. Was he brought up as something to do with Parra? Should Macha have anticipated him not doing well? It sounds like you think they should write off the game because they were behind by 3 runs.
  7. I hope it doesn't involve listening to the part of the fanbase that wants more bunting and is upset that he doesn't talk loud enough in postgame interviews.
  8. Wow that was a high strike call. Gameday has it well above the zone.
  9. The whole bunting and small ball thing has been analyzed to death. I don't think you'll find support for the idea outside of playing for a single run late in a game. So why would it be good baseball? I can't remember Rickie bunting.
  10. OMG, Nick Punto stumbles his way into a highlight play. Its a curse.
  11. Should've bunted toward Nick Punto. Hey, now even the trainer is dinged up.
  12. Inglett with a sprained ankle. If he goes on the DL, I wonder if Heether comes up.
  13. Yeah because only having 3 bad starts this whole year for Bush is a stupid reason for not having Bush on the roster. Other than Gallardo Bush has been the second best starter on the Brewers pitching staff. To put this in perspective Bush has only given up 3 or more runs twice this year. TWICE! So how is that again stupid to have Bush on the roster? Well, the point was that the loss yesterday was because Bush was grimly awful. The one place I never hear perspective is the cult that adores Dave Bush. His WHIP is North of 1.7. He's started nine games so your "perspective" is a little lacking when you tout how many times he gives up 3 runs in 6 innings. Fifty-six hits and 24 walks with 24 strikes out is a recipe for failure. I remember when people here described him as a "number 2" pitcher.
  14. Did Coshun just call Mark A, Antanasio rather than Attanasio?
  15. Gennet with a hit, making it 24 games in the last 26. He's still rocking a pretty high babip, but still impressive. Marseco pitched an inning. That guy is a future coach/manager. When I looked at the Brevard recap, I saw a lot of ground ball hits by opposing batters. Not so for Arnett. The phrase line drive appeared aplenty. If a guy has a 4 seamer in the mid 90s, a 2 seamer and a slider with decent control, you'd think he'd get better results. Maybe the pitching coach there? Peralta's game recap doesn't sound as bad as his stat line. First inning with a GB single to the catcher, 2 pop ups, another GB single and a HR. The other big inning included a couple throwing errors including one by him. A hit and a walk by both Gamel and Zarraga. Zarraga won that home run derby before he was drafted. I wonder if that thing is sort of meaningless and whether Space Coast Stadium and the FSL are holding down his power production. Matt Cline out after 2 HBP. Another high babip guy. I wonder if he fits the profile that Sickels used to describe Martin Prado. Where was he in 2009? Great to see Cain with a hit and a couple walks. Pretty remarkable numbers considering his 0/for games when he came back from injury. Yet another high babip guy. Lawrie with a hit and a walk in 4 ABs - almost expect it to be a triple. Lean roster in Nashville. Chase Wright rockin the .500 BA. Luis Cruz's hitting streak is broken. Is the PCL weak this year or generally? Corrections welcome.
