  1. For all of you Anderson people, I got two quotes back today. A dozen cubed balls are $120 plus approx $12 shipping. A dozen boxed balls are 108 with 12 shipping. I placed my order for 12 boxed.
  2. Do you know what time of the day your guys workout? Mainly mornings or afternoons? I love going over to Maryvale to watch workouts, but often get over there when no one is there and it seems real hit and miss.
  3. Here is an old one from way back in the day. I went with my family to a Brewers vs. Twins game at the Metrodome. After the game they used to let you walk down into the loading dock (weren't those the days) and you could walk right up to the bus and stand next to a steel gate. Well my brother and I are standing there, me about 10 and my brother about 7. I had a Robin Yount 3,000 hit card so it must have been '93. Anyways, Robin Yount comes up to the gate and starts to sign autographs. He is making his way down the line and gets to me and stops after signing my card and says he has to get on the bus because it's about to leave. Well, my brother was standing next to me and immediately starts bawling. Well when Yount got on the bus he saw my parents consoling my little brother and he knocked on the window and started pointing. Me being 10 had no idea what he was doing, but immediately my dad told us to get moving. We literally sprinted to the car about as fast as a family of 4 could. We started to head downtown towards the hotel and the bus was a good block in front of us. My mom was driving when my dad yelled, "Boys, get out of the car!" We got out and ran two city blocks to try to catch the bus. Unfortunately, all of the players had already gone into the hotel and we were all bummed out. As we're about to leave we hear a distinctive voice say, "Hey, I've been waiting for you buddy, don't go away!" The voice was Yount and he was talking to my little brother. He signed my bro's 8x10, took a pic with him, and rubbed his head. He then walked straight into the hotel. He had waited on the bus specifically for my little brother. That my friends, is class!
  4. Thanks, Billy. I knew it had to do with minimum price requirements. I emailed and I will see if I get a reply. I just don't like buying a product online, checking out and not knowing how much I am going to pay.
  5. This question may have already been asked, but I don't feel like paging through 48 pages of posts. How much is a dozen cubed box from Anderson Enterprises? I went to their site today but they said that they can't list their pricing due to something with Rawlings. If anyone can help me out, it would be great!
  6. If you get a chance to catch the Crew in Goodyear at the new Cleveland complex, I would suggest doing so. This new stadium is going to be sick. I also wish the Brewers were at the Dodgers/White Sox new complex in Glendale more than once. It is supposed to be the Taj Mahal of spring training facilities.
  7. Aren't the Brewers under contract anyways?
  8. Phoenix Municipal (Oakland's field) is about the only one without an outfield berm. Chances are PRETTY GOOD that an outfield berm wouldn't effect your trips too much. If you want cheap tickets, you can usually get them for a pretty good price on Phoenix Craigslist while you're down here.
  9. FWIW, Salome wasn't at the game last Wednesday. I asked David Welch why and he told me he was back at Maryvale getting "worked on". I think that may have something to do with Salome not playing and Palmisano moving to the Javelinas.
  10. I just talked with Jack on Tuesday in Maryvale. I was watching an instructional league game and he came up and sat by me and my friend, realized we were from WI and struck up a good 35 minute convo. At the end of the convo he got us two signed Lawrie balls. He's a nice man that IMO is the key reason the Brewers are where we are right now. It sure hasn't been due to DM's free agent signings. We've done it with homegrown talent that Jack Z has handpicked.
  11. Here is a career statline on Wright. Although his record is sub .500 in 08 his ERA and WHIP is pretty respectable. http://minors.baseball-re...com/players.cgi?pid=31750
  12. Well, you need to consider that I have only seen him throw to 3 batters, all of which he struck out. So to answer your question, based off the small sample, I would say he is a SO pitcher. Whether that is actually the case, I don't know. He was throwing a fastball that I would guess based off eyesight in about the low 90s. His breaking stuff was breaking pretty hard up and down. He definitely jammed a couple of hitters in on the hands and mixed his pitches in and out pretty well too. Like I stated earlier, it was a VERY small sample, but I liked what I saw out of Brae. On a side note, he is a really nice guy. I asked him for an auto on a ball and he took about 30 seconds to sign it, making sure it turned out very nice. Go Brewers!
  13. I was at the game today and Lou was the first thing I noticed?! I am guessing he is a taxi squad guy (W and Sun) only. He makes the 4th catcher on the roster. Brae Wright was downright filthy in the 8th today. He had all three batters flailing all over the place. One of Green's ABs today was an absolute rocket, but right at the guy in LF. From a somewhat neutral perspective with a touch of Brewers bias, our guys, when they play, are producing and looking good.
  14. I was at Maryvale today watching some youngsters and heard it out of Melvin's mouth himself while talking to some "baseball guys". He had a meeting with Dale recently and told him to wait. They don't know what their team is going to look like yet and aren't going to hire someone until they know what their team looks like. Now what that means exactly, I don't know....but I heard it from his mouth today.
  15. Cain also had a web gem in LF. He dove and caught a bullet and got applause from everyone in the stadium....all 300 of us!
  16. Hey Josh. I just wanted to say thanks for the surprise in the lot today. You caught me off guard. I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude. Your crop of guys are looking pretty good. I liked Lo's diving catch in left today. Hopefully I will see ya around AZ!
  17. I don't think what SC guys think has any bearing. They're also the same hacks that predicted the Cardinals to win the Wild Card a few months back because the Brewers aren't consistent enough to win it. They're the epitome of genius.
  18. Haha....these are awesome. If I even make it to first pitch tomorrow, it will be a miracle with all the STL fans around. They're gonna love my NLCS gear....a Braun jersey with a Dbacks hat.
  19. Just so you guys are aware....I am attending the Labor Day matinee in AZ tomorrow. On behalf of all Brewer fans I am going to ask Fat Albert why he feels he is the utmost authority on respect of baseball. If you have any questions you would like me to ask him, let me know. I will post a picture of me asking him when I get back from the game tomorrow.
  20. Guys, I can see AZ knocking off Chicago pretty easily. Webb and Haren are one of (if not) the best 1-2 punches in the NL right now. CC and Ben would be if Ben could get straightened out a little. Justin Upton was recently brought back up from injuries, Max Scherzer was just brought up to put in the pen, and Adam Dunn has been playing very well since coming over from the Reds. If Orlando Hudson were still playing, I would bet big money on AZ beating them. Webb, Haren, and Johnson are Cubs kryptonite.
  21. GA stretches from just around the LF foul pole to the baggy in RF. Right, Center Field doesn't have very much seating due to the large curtain that hangs down. If you're sitting GA, get there EARLY. Also, if you sit in RF and are about 6-7 rows up, get a good look at Hart when he is hitting, cuz you won't see him in the field.
  22. I'll be there hopefully. It's been hard to get some reasonably priced tickets. If anyone has any extras, send me a PM. I only live 45 minutes from the Giant Trash Bag.
  23. JP effectively just signed his own pink slip....idiot.
  24. Ever see Brett Meyers punk Kyle Kendrick? Check it out on youtube, it's guaranteed laughter. Anyways....we trade Billy for Kobayashi. Bring Kobayashi in to fight the Klement's hotdog in a Klement's promo. It would bring me more joy than watching an overpaid baby whine about playing time when he hacks at terrible pitches every AB and throws balls into the dirt! Funny story from last night's FSN AZ broadcast. Last night's AFLAC question was which 2 Brewers were the last to win gold gloves. (Cooper and Yount) Just after the answer, Billy makes his diving catch at 3rd which prompts this from Mark Grace..."Wow! Maybe Bill Hall should be considered for a gold glove this year." Sutton fires back with, "Yeah, he had 9 errors in the month of May...."
