  1. In no particular order: 1) Super Empire Strikes Back - SNES 2) Tie Fighter - PC 3) Shadows of the Empire - N64 (it was the first 'advanced' video game) 4) There was this game where you went around and conquered galaxies like a strategy game. I can't remember the name of it, it's like 5-6 years old.
  2. 7 foot stiffs?? DID YOU SEE STIEMSMA TODAY? He was all over the place offensively. It's a shame that he didn't play like that his entire career at Wisconsin. That was the player that I expected him to be like.
  3. how can you say the refs hosed marquette? their coach fouled out in the first half.
  4. landry and krabbenhoft cover beasley. I'm honestly worried, I would have been much more comfortable with flowers on mayo. almost time to hit the bar to catch this one! GO RED!
  5. 1) Matt LaPorta gets called up and hits 10 homers in a short season 2) Parra, Gallardo and Villanueva win 40 put together. 3) Ben Sheets pitches 250 innings.
  6. too be honest, kentucky should not have made the dance this year. marquette beat kentucky playing well though. good for them.
  7. marquette survives. good for my bracket, bad for my ego.
  8. wow, kentucky is unreal at the end of this game.
  9. 1. highest seed to advance to 2nd round - davidson, south alabama (10) 2. highest seed to advance to sweet 16 - davidson (10) 3. how far marquette will go - sweet 16 4. how far the badgers will go - final 4 5. final four. UNC, Wisconsin, Texas, UCLA 6. champion.UCLA
  10. i'm cheering for marquette this weekend. i picked them to beat the stanford in nearly every pool
  11. all higher seeds winning so far except marquette.... in other words, no big surprises so far from the tournament.
  12. i just got xbox live plugged back in this past week, but i've been playing mlb 2k8... and that's garbage for live. i'll be up for some halo 3, gh3 or rock band sometime.
  13. 75 years until I'm 100. Thanks for that creepy cat image Brian, how does that leg at the bottom right of picture fit on that cat's body?
  14. To wish your favorite tuba player a happy 25th birthday today. 75 to go! I'll be spending it much like the rest of you, working, then off to watch the games.
  15. BuckyTuba has Raleigh Tix
  16. Was Narveson a NRI? I bet he's the first pitching call-up.
  17. With all of the fantasy sports threads that float around this time of the year, you guys should look into making a new category of forum for fantasy sports exclusively. just a suggestion from your not-so-local tuba player.
  18. I just got this game. It's absolutely ridiculous how hard it is to pitch and hit! I'm playing on Pro, and I can't touch anything Gil Meche throws, and I'm getting rocked by the feeble KC offense. The pitching is really cool, but it's going to take a long time to get used to.
  19. brewerfan is the first place i check for news. i'm not in full BFan.net mode yet, once the badgers are out of the tourney, it's time to get back over here full time
  20. you know me, the only thing that can get me down in the dumps like this: women.
  21. ccbrew, good stuff. everyone good stuff. i'm still really bummed out.....
  22. Post a video or a comment that will make me laugh. I really need it today....
  23. I like darker comedies: Grosse Pointe Blank High Fidelity Super Troopers Knocked Up Anchorman 40 Year Old Virgin Ghostbusters Juno

Charlie Papazian is a trip, I met the guy when he won the Karl Strauss Lifetime Achievement in Brewing Award this past August (Karl Strauss was my grandfather). Turns out the guy studied Nuclear Engineering at the University of Virginia, but then threw it to the wind to teach people how to make beer.
  25. I went to Germantown, and I had no idea that their team was that good this year! It's too bad they lost out in the first round of the state tourney, but good job nevertheless for a school that was only good at winning football championships.
