    if they don't renew flight of the conchords, i might cancel my subscription. i don't care how long it takes them to write enough material for a second season. i just want the hope of them putting forth the effort for a few years down the line.

    i'm reading a lot of reports that they are going to cancel JFC. the finale was really messed up and didn't really solve many issues from the first season, in fact it complicated a couple things. the addition of the hawaiian mobsters just made things more messy. the show has too many characters and not enough plot resolution. it's still a visually beautiful show with one of the best opening sequences.

    my father is a first year usher, and he tells me all about the policies that they have to adhere to. miller park officials are very strict because of the amount of drinking that happens inside and outside of the park. a small argument can escalate extremely quickly, and you need to manage situations with a conservative manner. you need to remember that it is a family venue and a fight or altercation could scar a child. of course, i'm the kind of guy that my dad would be trying to stop. (6 pack before the game!)

    also, i'd like to say that there is a LARGE population of UW students who come from the chicago area who put up a lot of big money for the university. i have no qualms against any of those people.

    I'm currently looking at getting out of the rental market in the carolinas since home values are flying up (wake county is one of the top 10 counties in the nation for rising house values). i'm looking to get a house out in the boonies so i can get a lot of pasture capable land to surround the house for a possible horse grazing area. i'm also trying to stay somewhat close to work so i can keep the commute down. i've found a 10 acre plot with a double wide trailer on it for $52k. the plan would to live in the trailer for a couple years until i'm able to put a down payment on building a new house on that 10 acre plot. is this a better option that going out and buying a $265,000 house that is on a 6.43 acre plot? they are about the same distance from work (45 mins).

    I've read that you need 3.1 plate appearances per team game to qualify for the batting title... could Braun achieve this number of appearances in the last 2+ months to contend for it? currently he has 224 (coming into tuesday night) with 63 games remaining, and the magic number would approximately 502. 206 AB, 16 BB, 2 HBP
