  1. A few insiders leaked the bobblehead information in late January last year, but the official promotional schedule usually is not released until sometime in February when the single game tickets first go on sale.
  2. seejoedunk.com You can purchase $37 seats for $11 each through January 15 as a part of the Joe Alexander Slam Dunk Contest campaign. You also get a free JA autograph with every ticket purchased. Vote for Joe while you're at it.
  3. They are both numbered and named, unless otherwise specified.
  4. I'm planning my first trip to the BC for the year and am wondering if anyone here has taken advantage of this event? From what I understand, one Bucks player signs autographs for 15 minutes prior to select games outside of section 203. - How are the crowds for this event? - Do I need to line up before the doors open? If so, how early? - Which players have signed already this year? - Do the Bucks provide photos to be signed? Thanks for the input!
  5. I apologize for taking you guys off topic here- but does anyone know of a quality Bucks message board or fan site? I can find a few through google searches, but I'd like to hear an opinion or two from people who actually visit them regularly. Thanks!
  6. 30 Rock, anyone? Let me preface my comments by saying that I enjoy the show and even own the first two seasons on DVD, but Season 3 has been an appeal to the lowest common denominator with all of the guest stars. I'd rather see the show cancelled and wrapped up nicely like Arrested Development than see the quality dip.
  7. I vote yes ... and for what its worth, I have not owned a video game console since Super Nintendo. My girlfriend and I play our Wii for an hour or two every weekend (we're in grad school so its a great stress reliever and a cheap date). Jamie- be sure to check out the Wii balance board. There are a few skiing / snowboarding games where you actually have to manuever you're way down a mountain on the board. I think that it would be a lot of fun for your family to play together.
  8. I haven't seen the jerseys up for sale yet, but Authentic New Era Nashville Sounds hats are now priced at $10 (compare to $24.99) ... a nice compliment to any Sounds jersey. http://www.nashvillesound...temId=83&categoryId=1
  9. My understanding is that the development of Rodney Stuckey also influenced Detroit's decision to deal Billups. So speaking of developing guards ... how many games can Luke Ridnour sit out with back spasms before he loses the starting PG role to Ramon Sessions?
  10. I just received a copy of the promo schedule from my ticket rep. January 9th is the Richard Jefferson bobblehead all-fan giveaway.
  11. Thanks for the heads up, but I believe that January 3rd is an away game against the Bobcats. Where did you find your information? I would be curious to see the entire promo schedule.
  12. billyhallfan- I appreciate your input. Thanks for the warning.
  13. The Ryan Braun bobblehead is a nice throw in! I recently emailed Buck Rogers to inquire about the availability of any remaining jerseys. The cost is indeed $150, but the shipping is no longer free- it costs $10. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee of recieving a Braun bobble with purchase (he was unsure of their availability). He did, however, mention that his staff did try to include a bonus item (uncut card sheet, team photo, etc) with every order.
  14. Thanks for the tips, guys. I emailed the Sounds and they told me that the white home jerseys from this season would be for sale on the website at some point in October.
  15. This has been the first year that I have followed the Sounds with great regularity. Earlier this season, I noticed that they had a selection of game-worn jerseys available online from previous seasons. Does anyone know if the Sounds will have their 2008 jerseys for sale, and if so, about when we can expect to see them available?
  16. Hey Brewer Fans, I'm currently attending grad school in close proximity to Helena, Montana. Naturally, the thought has crossed my mind more than once that I should make a trip out to Kindrick Field to catch some rookie league action. With the possibility of the Brewers having as many as 5 first round draft picks next June, I have started putting a few bucks aside for the trip next summer. If anyone has made this trip before (or can provide some insight), I'd definitely appreciate a little input ... - Do we know for certain that the Brewers will be affiliated with the Helena rookie league club next summer? - Are there any sights to see near Helena that could fill the time between games? - Is it better to catch a weekend series in June or August? I understand that some of the top prospects may not have signed yet in June, but they could also be in low A by August.
  17. My experience with Cellcom has also been positive. I now reside in Grand Forks, ND and still use them as my provider. I have never had issues with reception or billing. Bonus: Cellcom is the official cellular phone service provider of the Green Bay Packers.
  18. The s-less nicknames are tolerable, in my opinion. Besides OKC Thunder is better than OKC Energy ... that one reminds me of a dance team ... What I really can't stand are team names that sound more like middle school mascots (classic example- Charlotte Bobcats). The Charlotte NBA franchise could have been the "Charlotte Flight,"which would have had both a connection to the state (birth place of aviation) and the sport (speed, grace, agility).
  19. Wow, those went fast. Enjoy the game!
  20. I have 2 tickets (section 433) for 9/10 v Cincinnati that I would be happy to pass on at no charge to someone who could use them. The 1:05 pm start makes attending the game nearly impossible for me. PM me if you are interested or post any questions. I apologize in advance for any late replies on my part. I will have limited internet access for the next 2 weeks.
  21. I apologize if I am bringing up a ridiculous question, but are you guys entirely sure that these Ryan Braun bobbles are not the exact same ones that were a SGA at Miller Park? Many of the NWL teams in Wisconsin have given extra Braun bobbles out as a promotion and it seems likely to me that the Helena Brewers could have easily made a similar deal with the big club. Does anyone have a picture or description from the Helena Brewers that proves that this is not the case?
  22. Usually I'm pretty tired by the time I hit the pillow. However, I find that a little reflection time helps put me at ease.
  23. Another reason to avoid trading for Matt Holliday: Home: 0.364 BA Away: 0.309 BA 0.309 is still a respectable BA, but you have to be aware of the Coors Field effect.
  24. Here are Hank Steinbrenner comments that were printed in my local paper: - "My only message is simple. The National League needs to join the 21st century. They need to grow up and join the 21st century." - "Am I mad about it? Yes. I've got my pitchers running the bases, and one of them gets hurt. He going to be out. I don't like that." I like the fact that Hank is not afraid to speak his mind for the simple reason that it entertains me, but you've got to believe that the suggestions / criticisms he provides are sometimes only convenient for the Yankees and not MLB.
  25. FYI- Robin Yount's TBA appearance will be tomorrow evening at Athletic Park in Wausau. The Woodchucks are giving away a Robin Yount autographed ball every inning. http://www.woodchucks.com/2008_Press_Releases/6-10-08.shtml
