  1. I’m actually more bullish on humanity. Most people I meet are pretty decent. The outliers grab a disproportionate amount of attention. That’s quite the lack of self awareness from the balloon family, though.
  2. You poor soul.
  3. As annoying as Daylight Savings Time can be, it’s necessary to prevent kids from walking to and from school in the dark. I live about a mile from our community’s middle and high schools and I pass two dozen students either walking or biking to school as I leave my neighborhood at 7:00 am. It was getting increasingly difficult to keep track of the students, but I’ve had no issues since the time change.
  4. Isn’t it possible for someone who recently had COVID to continue to test positive for months despite not showing symptoms or being contagious? For that reason, I don’t understand how Rodgers could be required to pass a COVID test before next Sunday. I think he just needs to wait 10 days from when he began showing symptoms or first tested positive.
  5. Just put Cobb back there and have him fair catch every time. This is truly asinine.
  6. I’m disappointed with Love, but he’s not the reason they’re down 13.
  7. Love actually has a better passer rating than Mahomes at halftime. 76.4 vs. 74.8
  8. And the Chiefs get the ball because the Packers have lost 6 coin tosses in a row.
  9. Fire Mark Murphy. This is an organizational failure.
  10. Was Hunter Bradley thaaaat bad?
  11. [sarcasm]The good news is if the Chiefs take 8 minutes to score every time, the final score won’t be too lopsided.[/sarcasm]
  12. This was reported either yesterday or Friday he wouldn't be active. Thanks. Demovsky usually posts the daily practice / injury summary, but he was pre-occupied with passing off summaries of Pat McAfee as original reporting and undermining Rodgers’ local sponsorships.
  13. Keke is the only surprise inactive. Maybe it’s not a surprise to anyone else. I guess I haven’t been following the injury report that closely with all the Rodgers drama. I assume he’s still recovering from a concussion?
  14. I’m looking for reasons to remain optimistic: An angry Rodgers is a dangerous Rodgers.
  15. What a strange week this turned out to be. I’m not sure I’d even pick the Packers at Arrowhead with Rodgers. At least watching Love’s debut will be a bright spot during an otherwise crummy week. He might fall flat, but he might also do really well. I don’t know what to expect, but am cautiously optimistic Love can make this a game. I’m not an X’s and O’s guy, but I imagine the Chiefs will try to take away the run game and make Love beat them through the air. Otherwise, the all too obvious strategy to me would be to run our RB combo up against the Chiefs’ so-so defense until they prove they can stop us. Go Pack!
  16. Jordan Love is apparently vaccinated, otherwise he would have been designated a close contact of Rodgers’ according to this article: https://www.yahoo.com/sports/jordan-love-wasn-t-vaccinated-001622316.html As best I can tell, Blake Bortles is probably going to net $15K after taxes for this game. Not a bad stipend for the ‘on call’ QB.
  17. I think I actually feel worse after learning that. They’ll still be paying King next year during their cap crunch.
  18. Let’s get back to something we can all agree on: Kevin King is awful. Prior to this season, he played in 41 out of 64 games (64%). To the surprise of no one outside of Packers brass, he’s only played in only 3 games this year. Had he returned on a 1-year / $1 million prove it deal, I don’t think many fans would have objected (low risk, high reward), but instead, he’s making $6 million to ride the pine and nurse a shoulder injury’s (the same injury he came into the league with). I don’t know if OBJ will make it to the Packers in the waiver claim order, but there’s your cap space right there.
  19. Prevea has ended their relationship with Aaron Rodgers: https://www.wbay.com/2021/11/06/prevea-health-aaron-rodgers-end-partnership/
  20. Anyone else worried about going sterile now?
  21. I just finished reading Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. It was written in 2011, but I first picked it up 2 weeks ago. It was outstanding. Easily the best book I’ve read in the last 5 years - a perfect intersection of history, pop culture, and management.
  22. According to this article, Rodgers doesn’t have to test for 90 days once he’s asymptotic (and it sounds like he’s doing well): Although, the author also referred to AJ Hawk as ‘guest host’ and ‘sports anayst,’ so take that with a grain of salt (Hawk is more of a radio sidekick, right?) https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/aaron-rodgers-defiant-covid-diagnosis-191531576.html
  23. The hilarious thing about that is that in the past, Rodgers has been a card-carrying member of said mob. Do you have an example? I think he’s always had a more liberal vibe, but has never come across as preachy to me.
