  1. Huh … I actually wondered about him a few weeks ago, but I thought that was me gravitating toward a big name. Seems like a pretty low risk move. They need a big man.
  2. Why didn’t the Jaguars want Leonard Fournette?
  3. He probably doesn’t want anything to do with SEC defenses. I wonder if he’ll retain Graham Harrell as OC? They have some history. They are both Texas Tech alums and Riley was the WR coach when Harrell was the starting QB.
  4. King is inactive, though. He’s looked fine when healthy, but he just can’t be counted on.
  5. Apparently, some plumbers refer to the day after Thanksgiving as ‘Brown Friday’ because of the ‘Thanksgiving aftermath’ (to put it politely): https://www.wbay.com/2021/11/26/plumbers-busy-brown-friday-fixing-aftermaths-thanksgiving/
  6. Hulu is a available for 99/cents a month ($11.88 for one year) now through Cyber Monday: https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/hulu-lowered-subscription-price-99-140000688.html
  7. Ghostbusters is good. Not great. I’d classify it as ‘eventually see.’
  8. St. Louis gets $790 million from the Rams to settle their re-location lawsuit. That’s not a bad consolation prize. https://football.realgm.com/wiretap/46806/NFL-Rams-Settle-Lawsuit-With-St-Louis-For-$790M
  9. I’m going to see Ghostbusters tonight - it’s probably the 4th or 5th movie I’ve seen in theaters in the past 10 years. Unfortunately, Sony doesn’t have a streaming platform, so it could be months before I can watch this movie in my own home. You’d think a large studio like that could figure out how to charge me $30 to stream a new release right away, especially in a post-COVID world. I’d pay a premium to avoid the crowds.
  10. The Lions futility is even more baffling when you consider that they had a franchise quarterback for 12 years. They never should have fired Jim Caldwell. He was 36-28 over 4 years and made the playoffs twice. His worst season was 7-9.
  11. I don’t like it when Lego sets require you to put stickers on the bricks. Despite my best efforts, I rarely get the stickers on perfectly. You’d think Lego produces enough of each set to include customized bricks and eliminate the need for stickers.
  12. Whenever I hear the term ‘flash mob robbery,’ I can’t help but picture the robbers randomly breaking out in song and dance before they loot.
  13. ^^^ That’s an awesome story! So does the gorilla make Thanksgiving visits or do you have other popular requests?
  14. I don’t watch the Bucks closely enough to tell, but is DDV a better defender than Grayson Allen? I can’t see him usurping Allen when he returns from his injury. Allen’s extension is looking prudent.
  15. I’ve always figured some of the neat things Rodgers does during the play are a product of him taking advantage of the allotted time to diagnose the defense. I guess my angst stems from the Packers seemingly coming out flat after every time out.
  16. That seems healthy. I’m emotionally divested from the Brewers, Bucks, and all local college or high school teams. I like those teams. I hope they win. But at the end of the day, losses don’t bum me out all that much - not even crushing playoff defeats. The Packers are the one team where I ride the roller coaster (probably due to the my love of the 90s Packers in my youth).
  17. I know some people here think I’m nuts, but the Vikings won the coin toss and had an extra possession today - and that last possession determined the outcome of the game. The Packers are 2-9 in coin tosses this year. If it’s not a big deal, why does the opponent always defer?
  18. Agreed, but the Packers just went two full seasons with very good luck in that department. They were bound to regress. It’s a darn shame because I think they win this game with a healthy pass rush.
  19. I accept it … just a bad break. I guess you could enforce the penalty after the interception and back the Packers up 15 yards, but that’s now how it works. Meanwhile, the Vikings get a clean shot at Rodgers with little to no consequences. It was enforced correctly, but it really stings.
  20. So many angry thoughts in one post: 1) Special cost them a second game. 2) When the Packers rough the passer, it negates an INT, but when the Vikings rough the passer, it adds 15 yards to the kickoff. 3) The coin toss bit them in the butt today. The Vikings had one more possession than the Packers and they were able to win the game with it. 4) They were clearly missing their pash rush today.
  21. It’s hard to believe Cam Newton went without a team for 10 weeks.
  22. Sure, but most of those penalties have been legit. The Vikings are just the lucky beneficiaries.
  23. I don't think anyone discounts what Jones means to the offense. But this is bad. They're playing really bad. Perhaps I’m guilty of discounting Jones. I must be enamored with those quads.
  24. We’ve barely heard Billy Turner’s name all year and he’s got two penalties on him already. Just a bad day at the office.
