  1. I think it’s a good look at night under the lights, but would be uninspiring during a day game.
  2. I know the Packers lost the coin toss tonight, but I’m starting to wonder if they’d be better off taking the ball to start each game. Try to score fast and get the other team to play catch up. Otherwise, the Packers have no choice but to come out passing after the defense gives up a quick 14.
  3. I can’t really blame Lancaster. He’s a UDFA playing on reasonable 1-year contracts. It’s not his fault they haven’t found someone better. Dean Lowry’s situation is far more aggravating.
  4. I’m behind on the DVR … just finished the Packers’ second drive that ended with a sack. 3 passes. SMH. Run the friggin’ ball.
  5. So ESPN has got Brian Griese calling MNF and Peyton Manning on the deuce? Hmmm …
  6. I think the Packers right the ship, but few outcomes would surprise me. I’d love to see AJ Dillon work up a good lather tonight. I wish the Packers would have re-signed Williams as the RB2 and taken a comp pick for Jones (you’re welcome if Jones goes off for 200 tonight ).
  7. I think Deguara is out with a concussion and ESB's brother is on the Lions. It could be just be for the gesture of suiting up for a nice moment + possibly contributing on ST. That’s neat if they’re doing him a solid so the family can watch both of them play. I think EQ is still worthy of a roster spot, when healthy.
  8. ESB has been elevated from the PS to the active roster for tonight’s game, per Rob Demovsky. That seems odd, considering they seem healthy at WR.
  9. If they lose, I would bet on it. If they win by a healthy margin, he’ll revert to hero status for at least the next 6 days.
  10. That’s pretty much where I’m at too, although I can’t recall a Rodgers-lead team ever taking such a bad early season loss. It’s really cast a cloud of uncertainty over this season … at least until they notch a couple wins.
  11. Map makers had to choose and chose wrong. Why do you say they chose wrong? Just curious. I know it’s somewhat arbitrary and probably reflects a Euro-centric world view. But wrong?
  12. Jameis was 11/22 with 0 TD’s and 2 INTs. The Packers could have really used that Jameis last weekend.
  13. NO being held to 7 points (as of the 4th quarter) against CAR is not making me feel any better about last week’s loss.
  14. By that definition, maybe the UP?
  15. Alex Antetokounmpo is close to a deal with the Raptors: https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/264107/Raptors-Close-To-Deal-With-Alex-Antetokounmpo No mention of if it’s a 2-way, camp deal, or G-League (can’t imagine it’s a guaranteed roster spot).
  16. Elgton Jenkings graded out as the 3rd best OL in the league during Week 1: https://www.yahoo.com/sports/packers-elgton-jenkins-finished-third-201215644.html
  17. It is because it competes with their imaginary money. Bazinga!
  18. I don’t know enough about crypto to make meaningful contributions to this thread, but I find it amusing that the government and SEC seem to loathe what they believe to be ‘imaginary internet money,’ but they sure want to tax and regulate it.
  19. I’m too young to remember much of Norm from his SNL days, but Dirty Work was one of my favorite movies as a teen. I believe it was also directed by Bob Saget and included Chris Farley’s last film appearance. Rest In Peace, Norm.
  20. HHCD to the Raiders’ Practice Squad: https://sports.yahoo.com/raiders-add-former-pro-bowl-191910464.html [sarcasm]Probably another one of those vets the Packers should have held on to[/sarcasm].
  21. You’re right. It probably is. Perhaps I’ve held him to a higher standard the past 2.5 years because I didn’t like the pick. It’s beyond me why you’d hand out a pair of massive FA contracts to edge rushers and then use the #12 pick to draft another edge rusher. Even if he breaks out later this year, they’ll only get him cheap for 1.5 years. Zach Kruse @zachkruse2 · 8m Rashan Gary led the Packers with 4 pressures, including 2 QB hits. Only rushed 16 times. [sarcasm]Enough with your facts.[/sarcasm]
  22. CBS Sports uses a headline ‘Packers Bench Aaron Rodgers for Jordan Love.’ Respectfully, he was not benched. That’s just a way to generate cheap clicks. MLF made the right call to protect Rodgers and fight another day. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/packers-bench-aaron-rodgers-for-jordan-love-as-jameis-winston-torches-green-bay-in-week-1/

  24. Jones doesn't turn 27 for another three months. Once the QB buys back into the team concept he should go back to being the game changing weapon who earned that contract as a 5th round pick putting up 4,421 yards from scrimmage and scoring 43 TDs in 54 career games. You’re right. His performance (like much of the team’s) was probably an anomaly. That doesn’t make me any less concerned about his contract. (Dillon + Williams for 2/$7mm) > (Dillon + Jones for 4/$48 million)
