    If I get COVID in the next 2 weeks, it’s 100% because I had to go to the DMV to renew my license yesterday. It was due to expire in November and you can’t get the Real ID online (I’d eventually like to fly again someday). The staff appeared to be taking the proper precautions, but masks were optional (in a government building?) for visitors. Further, the crowd there was a very interesting cross-section of society.

    Yeah, I don’t get the hype. He was 35-40 at Texas Tech and that includes a 2-year stretch where he went 12-13 with Patrick Mahomes.

    For the final 3 years of Sherman’s tenure at Texas A&M, he had Ryan Tannehill on the roster, but chose to play him at wide receiver. Kevin Sumlin replaced Sherman in 2012 and went 11-2 with Tannehill at quarterback.

    I’m really pleased with the short-handed road win. One complaint (and this is a reach) is that Dillon only had 11 yards on 5 carries. I was hoping he’d be go for more than 2 yards per carry. He had a nice 5-yard gain early in the game and then went silent. Oh well, that’s a small sample. I was happy with Williams in his spot start.

    Both Penn State and the Falcons could have won this weekend by taking a seat at the 1 yard line and letting the clock run. I realize it’s easier said than done to tells RBs (who spend their entire football careers trying to earn extra yards) not to score, but that doesn’t excuse the mental errrors at these levels.

    The headline on NFL.com is “Dalton suffers concussion in loss; Bostic ejected for hit.” [sarcasm]I guess you could say McCarthy was done in by Bostic again.[/sarcasm]

    I’m at a loss for how a team with a former MVP QB can be so bad. Rodgers bottomed out at 6-9-1.

    I think that’s being kind. The head coach of a Power 5 college team may be his ceiling now.

    It just seams like special teams have been a net negative for a decade.

    They gave away the best WR in football for a washed up RB and that's just the easily visible mismanagement. And that’s only one of his two franchise-destroying trades. Yeah, but aren’t the Packers something like 6-0 without Davante Adams? Playoff teams don’t go 1-6 without their WR1s.

    Honest question - why is Houston so bad? They’ve been a playoff team the past two years. Is it Bill O’Brien? Or is Watson just not that great?

    I don’t think any outcome would have surprised me today, but the halftime score would have certainly been on the optimistic end of that spectrum.

    Anyone else just hear Jonathan Vilma describe Montravius Adams as a “very productive” backup defensive tackle?

    I’m really nervous about this one. The injuries (Bahktiari, Jones, King, Savage, Ervin ... ) might be too much to overcome.

    I started a free 30-day Prime trial last night for the sole purpose of watching Borat 2. I really wasn’t impressed with the other titles.

    I’m not mad about Foster being signed ... just a little disappointed. Foster has an obvious upside and I was hoping the Packers would be able to stash him on the practice squad to develop or use in case of emergency.

    I guess Washington signed Robert Foster off the Packers’ practice squad to their active roster. That’s disappointing.

    If we’re being honest, I think the Bucks have a better chance of winning the NBA Finals in 1 year with Giannis than they would in 10 years without him (no matter who they draft or receive in a trade).

    The Vikings traded Yannick Ngakoue to the Ravens for a 3rd round pick after having given Jacksonville a 2nd rounder for him a few weeks ago.

    I actually think MM is a decent guy/coach. You wouldn’t hear a peep from me if he was coaching the Jets or Jaguars. I just hate the Cowboys.

    About 5 years ago, I saw a guy in a Wisconsin bar with a Houston Texans neck tattoo. It just struck me as odd that loyalty to a recent expansion team would run that deep.
