  1. Robert Tonyan has 5 TDs in the last 4 games. Jimmy Graham had 5 TDs in 2 seasons as a Packer.
  2. So I guess the lesson to be learned from Dallas and Atlanta is you can’t spend all of your first round picks on offense. Ted Thompson was a visionary.
  3. I was a few minutes behind on the DVR, but Dan Quinn is now on my *crap* list for taking those two TO’s and ruining my early bedtime dreams.
  4. Look at that - Dylan is good for 2 yards.
  5. At least the pace of this game is really moving. The only thing better than a win tonight would be a win before 11:00 pm.
  6. No AJ Dillon when they need 1-yard? I know they don’t want to take Jones and Williams off the field, but they continue to invite the question when they come up short in short yardage situations.
  7. Imagine if Aaron Rodgers had Aaron Jones when he was in his prime.
  8. This feels like a loss tonight, Guys. Similar to the Eagles coming into Lambeau early last year and giving the Packers a reality check.
  9. (knock, knock, knock)
  10. Can't believe it took them this long to figure out he sucks. They should probably also fire the guy who gave him both those jobs.
  11. [sarcasm]If they keep pushing this game back, maybe Adams and Clark will be ready to return.[/sarcasm] I believe De’jon Harris is an ILB, so the fact they didn’t elevate an OLB is probably a good sign for Z. Smith.
  12. Apparently, the game starts at 8:00 pm now.
  13. My biggest concern with inexperienced receivers isn’t the drops, but rather the potential interceptions. Running the wrong route could set up an easy pick and losing a possession in a shootout could be devastating (see Hill, Taysom).
  14. A downside to DA’s tweet I hadn’t considered was it eliminating the element of surprise. It’d be nice if Atlanta had wasted a little time preparing for DA today even if the Packers knew he was a no-go.
  15. Frankly, I’m surprised players ever have issues with past tweets from high school haunting them. For the amount of money that’s poured into scouting players, at least let a low level team (or agency) employee scroll through old tweets.
  16. I would have enjoyed listening in on that phone call this morning between Adams and Matt Lafleur. No doubt, that’d be awkward. Though I doubt MLF wakes up and scrolls through player tweets. Either DA typed that and then cooled down a little or his agent (who probably does monitor tweets) reminded him that such pettiness is below DA’s usually high professional standards.
  17. I recall Ryan Longwell punting in a Packer game due to a mid-game injury, but I don’t think Mason Crosby has every punted in an NFL game. The 2020 COVID rules prevent teams from signing players off the street without a multi-day hold period for testing. That means we’ll see either Scott, Crosby, or someone already in the building punt tonight.
  18. I’ve got soccer on my mind because I just finished the first season of Ted Lasso on Apple TV, but the Jets are the reason the NFL should consider relegation. Otherwise, there’s no punishment for teams being badly mismanaged. They still make loads of cash. Oh, you drafted a quarterback #3 overall and that didn’t work out? Here’s the #1 overall pick. I’m only half joking. Relegate to where, the XFL? This will never, ever happen - but here you go: Add two teams to get to 34. Split the teams into two 17-team leagues (A and B). Each league plays a 16-game schedule by playing every opponent once. Worst 2 teams in the A-league get relegated. Best 2 teams in the B-league get promoted. Only the A-league teams are eligible for the playoffs and prime time TV slots. The A-league teams receive 60% of the TV revenue, while the B-league team’s receive 40% of the TV revenue.
  19. With only 3 healthy receivers on the roster (MVS, Shepherd, and Taylor), at least one practice squad elevation seems likely today. My guess would be either Reggie Begelton or Robert Foster (the latter of which has some game experience with the Bills).
  20. Billy Turner was recently P-O'd that he was held out of a game where he felt he was good enough to play in, too. Good or bad, this is a pattern with this Packers team/medical staff, particularly when you see players as practice participants for a couple weeks, and warming up on gameday only to be held out. I get being secretive about injuries as a way to keep teams guessing, but this seems more like players are getting frustrated they are being kept off the field in situations where they think they shouldn't be. There's more to this than just a player venting about not being 100% healthy, and a key one at that. IIRC, Adams felt he was kept out a week or two longer than necessary with his toe injury last season, too. Not true, Martellus Bennett said our doctors want guys to play injured... That was one of my first thoughts ...are they over-correcting due to those allegations? (Although, I doubt there was an issue to begin with ... Marty B seemed just fine when Tom Brady was throwing him the ball instead of Brett Hundley)
  21. He's the furthest thing from a buffoon. The guy is nothing like other prima donna WRs that have come and gone throughout the league. Just a family man with a great attitude and work ethic. I think a pass is in order. These guys are still human beings and I'm sure he's frustrated. Agreed. There’s hardly a pattern here. It’s frustrating for him. It’s frustrating for fans. A win tonight would really smooth things over.
  22. Adams just deleted his own tweet. He probably sensed it was a little unprofessional to vent publicly in that manner (though I hardly blame him).
  23. Davante Adams is out tonight, per his own tweet. This one is starting to feel like an L, especially if Clark and Alexander can’t go.
  24. Tom Pelissero is reporting that both Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley are going to play tonight, despite both being listed as questionable. If anyone has a birthday coming up, please use your wish on Jaire Alexander playing tonight (or a COVID vaccine ... up to you).
