  1. For our sake, let’s hope Jefferson is the next Troy Williamson.
  2. Prediction: Queen goes at 27 or 28
  3. If it’s gonna happen, that’s the spot.
  4. What’s the cost to move up to 26 or 27? A 4th?
  5. Be a nice spot for us to get Queen if NO is willing. I think that’s the only trade up I’d be content with.
  6. Thought the Pats could have gotten a bit more than a 3rd to drop down 14 slots. That was my first thought, as well.
  7. NO using all the clock ... is this where the Packers trade up? (I hope not)
  8. Parks and Rec is returning for a 1-episode charity event. Thursday, April 30 on NBC. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/parks-recreation-return-brand-episode-230048906.html
  9. I don't see how placing an on-line order and having it delivered to your car is less risk. Who is gathering your order? For how many other people are they also gathering orders for? How much time a day are they spending in the grocery store? Aren't they exposing themselves to more people than if you got your own groceries? If you go when it's not busy, wear a mask and gloves, don't come near anyone, and wash your hands when you get home, I think it would be less risk than having someone else who is in the grocery store all day long getting your groceries. I don’t even get out of my car. I just pop the trunk and show the staff my ID through my driver’s side window. Everything gets wiped off with a Clorox wipe in my garage before it goes in the house. Produce gets soaked in vinegar. What if I’m a silent spreader? It’s not just about my safety, but the safety of others. I don’t think you can convince me I’m better off actually going into the store.
  10. It’s maddening. I’ve been in my home for 7 weeks with my wife and son. We go on a daily walk around our neighborhood and make a weekly trip to the grocery store to pick up our online order (which is delivered to our car). We’ve ordered takeout twice and felt guilty about the unnecessary risk. Everyone we know is taking this very seriously and yet here we are in the middle of a CDC hot spot.
  11. Tom Brady apparently walked into a home belonging to Byron Leftwich’s neighbor after mistaking it for Leftwich’s home. Literally let himself in and asked ‘how’s it going, man?’ to the neighbor whom he must have assumed was a friend of Leftwich. Neat story if you excuse the poor social distancing. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/tom-brady-accidentally-walked-wrong-171145918.html
  12. Brown County will apparently report 101 new cases today. That should bring us over 500. What a black eye for this community. We had 3 a month ago. And all because we can’t go 2 weeks without a hamburger.
  13. What’s bugging you? ‘Draft Edition’ : I swear some owners instruct their GMs to milk the entire draft clock just so their crap team gets its fair share of draft night TV exposure.
  14. What I hope happens: Round 1: Patrick Queen (LB), Kenneth Murray (LB), or Trade Back Round 2: Tee Higgins (WR) or Chase Claypool (WR) What I think happens: - The Packers trade up 5 spots, but don’t address a position of need. I have no idea what to expect tonight. I loved BG’s first draft (picking up the extra pick from the Saints and then maneuvering to get Alexander), but was disappointed last year with taking Gary and then trading up for Savage. I wish they had traded back from #12 to where they thought Savage fit (it takes two to tango, I know) and then addressed another position of need at #30. I’m not a draft expert or even a big draft guy, but it always seems to me that good value gets pushed down the board every year. Just be patient.
  15. I think Sternberger is a good breakout candidate with St. Brown being a dark horse. I’ve always been keen on EQ because I thought they got great value in the 6th round (the Packers obviously thought so too or they wouldn’t have taken a 3rd receiver).
  16. No doubt. I’d be fine with Fromm, Eason, or Hurts in the 3rd. I just think there are bigger roster needs to address in the first two rounds in order for the Packers to win a Super Bowl in the next 2-3 years.
  17. I recall being disappointed in 2003 and 2004 because the Packers narrowly missed out on Rex Grossman and J.P Losman. Both went #22 overall in their respective respective classes. However, Rodgers has made it clear he intends to play until he’s 40. I would be shocked if they took a QB at 30 unless it’s a screaming value like Rodgers was in 2005. Safety would also surprise me, given the apparent stability of the Amos / Savage tandem. It’d have to be a guy they thought would see the field a lot (maybe in a hybrid S/LB role?).
  18. [sarcasm]Yeah, like say a team didn’t turn in its pick on time, and other teams started drafting ahead of them, we’d know something was up.[/sarcasm]
  19. Brown County is going to reportedly jump from 214 to 297 cases today and the JBS beef plant has been confirmed as the source of the outbreak. Amazingly, they are still open. 10 days ago, we had <50 cases.
  20. [sarcasm]Perfect time for a road trip![/sarcasm]
  21. Speculation about Favre’s retirement started as early as 2002 when he told Peter King that he wished he could be back home on his mower.
  22. I challenge anyone to add up their Social Security contributions from their 20s and 30s and consider what a difference that 6% would have made in terms of paying student loans, buying a first home, paying for child care, or enabling other investment opportunities. Personally, I think we’re making one generation more secure at the expense of another.
  23. I know that the county is denying that it had anything to do with the live election, but the timelines do match up. I’ve heard from a friend at a local hospital that 60% of the Brown County cases have been traced to a single facility. I won’t name the facility because I don’t want to harm the reputation of this business until the report is verified, but it was apparently communicated in a hospital memo. The Green Bay area was tracking well below average for the last 6 weeks, so to see such an explosion now is disheartening (especially after we’ve all been so careful).
  24. Brown County is now considered a hot spot, having increased 4-fold in the last 10 days. We’re at 180 cases. Representatives from the CDC are coming to investigate next week. For a community that didn’t have a confirmed case until several days into the Safer at Home order, I don’t know how we biffed this so bad. The lack of transparency from county officials is also frustrating.
  25. I guess Financial Security and Financial Independence have different meanings to me. I’m financially secure in that I’m years away from having to stand in a bread line; however, I’m still financially dependent on my paycheck to pay household expenses and meet my savings goals.
