  1. NFL.com has a neat feature today ranking all 20 quarterback classes since the year 2000. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001108141/article/nfl-draft-best-qb-class-since-2000-worst-lets-rank-em-all I’ve always defended Brett Hundley and this article is further evidence that he’s an OK QB. Look at all the busts. A 5th round pick, 6 years removed and he’s still in the league? That’s a success by most measures. The 2017 Packers were bad. Need further proof? They had Rodgers for all 16 games in 2018 and finished 6-9-1. Hundley wasn’t saving that team and I doubt there’s a #2 QB in the league who could have (maybe Foles?). By no means am I suggesting he’s starting QB material (he isn’t) or he never got a fair chance (he did). I just hate seeing Packer fans use Hundley as a punching bag.
  2. I understand the context of the situation, but that doesn’t change the fact that the Bucks literally drafted Dirk Nowitzki and immediately traded him for Tractor Traylor. Honestly, the whole, ‘Bucks could’ve traded Andrew Bogut for Steph Curry, but wanted Monta Ellis instead’ misconception is more ridiculous.
  3. I find it amusing that in the span of a month, we’ve gone from ‘don’t wear masks’ to ‘here’s how to make your own mask out of a bra.’ https://www.insider.com/women-making-coronavirus-face-masks-out-of-their-bras-2020-3
  4. So we’re supposed to wear masks in public now?
  5. The release of Ghostbusters: Afterlife has been delayed until March 5, 2021. Not cool.
  6. The guy was a UDFA who managed to stick on the same NFL roster for 4 years. That’s a huge win. It’s not his fault the team didn’t draft anyone better to move him down the depth chart. Good luck to him.
  7. That probably speaks to the obscurity of the rule if one of the guys at OTC wasn’t initially aware of it.
  8. https://overthecap.com/the-basics-and-methodology-of-projecting-the-nfls-compensatory-draft-picks/ * It apparently excludes QBs, regardless of age
  9. I learned something new this offseason: Teams who lose a UFA with 10+ years of experience are only eligible for a maximum 5th round compensatory pick. Hence, the Packers are only in-line to receive a 5th round compensatory pick for Bulaga when his new contract size would otherwise warrant a 4th rounder.
  10. The amount of time this forum spent debating the merits of a #4 WR speaks volumes about how much we all miss sports.
  11. [sarcasm]It would be a real shame to see those folks take home some hazard pay.[/sarcasm]
  12. I’m picking up groceries from Pick n Save this afternoon that I ordered online earlier in the week. They bring them to your car. This is my first time ordering online. What’s the tipping situation? Leaning toward yes (maybe $2?). I also don’t want to offend someone if this is not customary.
  13. The fact that we haven’t seen any details of the Funchess signing is probably good news. Agents tend to leak the numbers when they are flattering.

  15. Does anyone else want to watch Cats just to see how bad it is?

  17. This may be a tad optimistic, but I think Lazard could still become a legit WR2.

  19. Over the Cap currently has the Funchess signing cancelling out the 7th round compensatory pick the Packers were tentatively in-line to receive for losing B.J. Goodson to the Browns at $2.4 million APY. If Funchess’ contract is in the $4-5 million range, it would cancel the 6th round compensatory pick for losing Kyler Fackrell.
  20. I have a theory on why Millennials & GenXers are taking this more seriously than other generations: We’re all terrified of a major recession because we’re in (or near) our peak earning years and another economic disruption could permanently throw off our career earnings trajectory. I graduated in the middle of the last recession and it took me 3-4 years to get the type of position/salary that a 2019 grad could have gotten last Spring. Now at age 35, I have what most people would consider a pretty good job and I’m nervous about being forced to start over (but this time with a kid and a mortgage).
  21. I’ll reserve judgement on the Funchess signing until I see the numbers. Funchess at $10 million? Hate. Funchess at $2 million? Love.
  22. My wife went to Target last night for a carside pickup and said there were an alarming number of people still going into Target like it was business as usual.
  23. Hey I predicted something successfully. I am like genius now! I fully expect Newton to sign with the Patriots and then become this uber god MVP QB and then some team signs him next year to a stupid mega contract looking at you Raiders. Then he falls apart and is worse than Tim Couch. * Netting the Patriots a 3rd round comp pick in the process.
  24. [sarcasm]Thank goodness all those asymptomatic celebrities got tested. Otherwise, this thing could have really gotten out of hand.[/sarcasm]
